Beginning and ending with Saints’ love of bees this book explores addiction, stalking, abortion, homosexuality while never really leaving the idea of true friendship.

Dance to the emotions

I am a retired OB nurse. This book sent me into palpations. I could follow each emotion of the heroine and the hero. The narrator led me through some of my most harrowing experiences. Susan, not sure I can forgive you for making my worst nightmare so real.
Read it.

Unexpected Ending at River's End

Hollywood love gone wrong. The perfect Hollywood couple have the perfect Hollywood baby except the interference of the Hollywood complications. Drugs, and suspected unfaithfulness lead to murder.
The perfect baby is whisked away to the Olympic National Forest and sheltered from life while her Daddy spends 20 years in prison.
I cried as I pictured this little girl looking for her mommy. I was riveted to find out the story behind the story and I love the believability of the characters. Everyone should read how it ends for Livvy.

I really enjoy this narrator. She understands the characters and writer and is very consistent. The story is sweet, as a strong woman falls for a stubborn man. His character is very real, hers, a little too sweet. But it kept me listening to see how it resolved.

Therese Plummer brings out the fun and the sarcasm of Nicole. The characters are real and believable. I physically read this series when it first came out. It was great to catch up with these characters again.

Southern Nora

Nora takes us to Innocence Mississippi, in this tale of love and murder. The heroine, Caroline is believable and like-able because of her faults and idiosyncrasies. The hero, is like-able with his affable ways hiding his true giving nature, and the killer is a surprise!
This story, although slightly dated, shows the finding of love, the strength of character and issues of southern racism without hitting you over the head.
The narrator creates this small southern town, with all it's different characters through his voice, the accents are consistent for each character, so that you can see each person.
I would listen again.

Great combination of Roberts and Robb!

One of my favorites. The book is great way to learn about J. D. Robb for the Nora followers. The characters are fun and vibrant. Susan Ericksen takes us seamlessly the early 2000s to 2060. The love story is ever present but the suspense and intrigue give it zip and make you want to solve the mysteries. Would and will listen again and again!

Love Nora!

Love Nora's series books. The Key Series involves, three women discovering the key to self fulfillment, discovery and true love. It is amazing how Nora Roberts can find or create a myth or legend that can be so believable. She creates an earthly situation we fall into and an other worldly situation that becomes real.
Susan Ericksen is one of my favorite narrators, I especially love her with the J.D. Robb 'In Death' series. She creates subtle vocal differences in each character, her accents are consistent and true. Most times her character interp is exactly what I imagined and what I hope Nora intended.
The Key series is definitely worth a listen and a re-listen.

Early Nora

I have been reading Nora Roberts since her debut with Irish Throughobred. Her books are always well written, however, her plot lines and characters have evolved with her years in writing. This is a simple story, chronicling the strength of the heroine. The love interest is perhaps, typical of stereotype macho male of the 1980s.
The narrator creates each of the different characters very believably. The story flowed well in her voice. For a simple love story, this is worth a listen.
