It may shock you to learn that we spend an average of four to seven minutes outside each day—while we spend four to seven hours using devices with screens. Needless to say, our physical, mental, emotional, and relational health has suffered. But there is a ready solution: get outside!

Great to get your feet wet in 1000 hours
Revisado: 12-20-23
I already believe and walk the 1k hours outside walk. I was looking forward to this book and bought it all its various forms. The information in this book is great but if you already listen to Ginny’s podscast there is a fair bit of overlap. Sometimes the book can be too technical and I skimmed. The book really shined for me when Ginny was talking about her own struggles as a parent and gave real life insight. I definitely would recommend it to anyone looking into spending more time outside especially with children

I have loved everyone of Gail’s fiction books. I have a writing itch and this book was informative and had much of the same charm of her fiction writing.

With all of the pluck and charm of its eponymous young hero, Rachel McAdams (The Notebook, Spotlight, Midnight in Paris) delivers a spectacular reading of Montgomery's beloved bildungsroman. In moments both funny and bittersweet, McAdams' voice is imbued with the spark that has made Anne a much-loved symbol of individualism and cheer for over a century.

Good tips
Revisado: 03-10-20
I already knew a lot about FlyLady before reading this book. But I am glad that I read it. Some parts were very basic. I could have done without the Pinterest hacks and tips. I have a Pinterest account so I already knew them. I do however appreciate the 15 minute methods. I read Marie Kondos book about tidying up and it just seemed so intimidating. This method of 15, 5, and 2 minutes seems way more user friendly. I appreciate the idea of routines and little by little things will get better.

What’s in a name? A lot. The name Tinaca, for example, has been passed down in the Jones family for generations of women. In fact, the Joneses name a Tinaca every other generation, to let the name breathe a little. To let each Tinaca shine. And shine is exactly what Tinaca Jones intends to do.

Cute short read
Revisado: 01-29-20
Retta is a voiceover queen. She gave life and style to Tinaca Jones. I felt like I was just at a salon listening to her tell a story. The story itself was entertaining enough. The story was funny and felt quotable. I felt like the ending was so rushed that I missed it. All this build up and no real resolution. But overall it was fun and I’m glad I finished the story.

Helpful little book
Revisado: 01-23-20
I have moved a lot and it’s always a little bit awful. I’m eager to use these new tips to make my move better. Some of the information in this book is sort of repeating info I already knew but I did appreciate the decluttering and box packing tips and how to make new friends. Over all it was good book and I would recommend it.

Gross and poignant!
Revisado: 05-16-16
I heard about this book from the sword and scale podcast where they interviewed the authors. I didn't really know what I was getting into. This book was gross and poignant.
The author deals with death both humanely and honestly. She talks about the families and the science of an autopsy.
I love books that make me smarter. I'm not a person who reads a lot of nonfiction but this book was great! It was funny and sad. From suicides to 9/11 to accidental death to drug overdose all the topics are fascinating and tragic.
Somehow the book is tied up nicely with resolution.
I just loved reading this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was amazing
Revisado: 02-06-14
Would you listen to Red Rising again? Why?
I wouldn't listen to Red Rising again I would probably read it. The, accents used in the performance made it hard for me to bolt through the audiobook like I normally do. I normally listen to the book at 2x speed and I couldn't this time because the Narrator was using an Irish accent. But I felt like the Irish accent helped make the races of the book more realistic.
What other book might you compare Red Rising to and why?
This book is like all the good parts of Lord of the Flies, Game of Thrones, and Hunger Games, but its a new idea of its own.
What does Tim Gerard Reynolds bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
His accents at times were a little intense, but I like to read the book at 2x speed so at normal rates it would have been fine.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No, but it was intense and I really enjoyed it
Any additional comments?
This book was a great book. Super. I cant wait till the next one comes out.
