The mind manufactures stories most of which are about YOU. The ego builds its identity by stories of external people and situations which is popularly known as  "victim mentality." Are you facing situations as they are or are you imposing your own beliefs on external events?  "THE JOURNEY INTO SELF" reminds us how to be present over a recording from a 4-day retreat by Eckhart Tolle. It can become slow and endearing to read at times but the point is to be. Be a part of the retreat. I had to backtrack many times and find a place where I couldn't be distracted and focus on the lessons.

One of my favorite authors that effortlessly links the spiritual to the more current reality science field. If you're a fan of "You Are The Placebo" and "Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself" then you will love "Becoming Supernatural: How Common People Are Doing The Uncommon". "Change your energy, change your life." It all sounds too good to be true, that just THINKING about something will actually alter a life's course. Yet, through Dr. Joe Dispenza's research, it reveals that it may not all be pseudoscience after all. The book's studies included monitoring students who meditate and by analyzing brain activity, revealed incredible findings such as euphoria without drugs. It bridges Science and spirituality flawlessly. Although I'm always open to counter-evidence, I believe Dr. Dispenza's research is spot on!

A VERY interesting book about life after death. I'm not interested in more of Michael Newton's work. Journey of the Souls centers around a "spiritual scientist" of sorts. A doctor hypnotizes people into an open spiritual state enabling astral travel and past-life regression experiences. It means the person is able to go into spiritual form and relieve old lives to learn why they are here on this current timeline and chose this life. Interesting regardless if you take his teaching whole-heartedly.

From the guy who advises Tony Robbins on breathwork. This is an extremely well written and captivating book. Mr. Brule takes the reader through various breathing techniques - little did I know that for every situation in life, there's a way to breathe to maintain composure. Not only does he walk you through of HOW to breathe but he also he says why it's important and key details to take away as far as mental discipline and how a positive mental shift, along with breathing, is essential to a successful life.

Ray Dalio is a billionaire investor and (at least from what I understood via his writing) spiritually woken. The start was great, the middle carried on a dry tone as it functioned as a guide to running your empire (many things I am unable to relate to but doesn't take away from how great this book is). Then ending was good. Overall 3.5. My recommendation? If you 1) are a trader 2) want to run a business empire successfully.

Great brook for mental disciplined. This book resonated with me even though I don't play poker. The mental discipline and emotional stability needed to be successful in the professional poker can be applied to trading as well which is why I had to pick this up! Great book of which is easy, quick, understandable even if you don't know what poker is, and recommendable.

lol...he literally states "I was surprised when Dr. Firestone walked in the room at 6ft and handsome " -chapter 12. Don't recommend this book. Rather than giving life tips flat out, it is different stories that Dr. Firestone had therapy sessions with and maybe I missed a detail but it seems that almost all of their personal problems stemmed from sexual assault or rape or had sexual urges they couldn't control. I respect the man's profession and he has a published book but can't say that I enjoyed this book.

Great to finish the Month with this book. Great and amazing read that I was able to listen to twice. Gregg is able to bridge the gap between spirituality and science. In fact, he's so articulate and accurate that I can't help but think he has either experienced shrooms and other psychedelics/hallucigenictcs or has at least read books regarding the beauty and connection of all things. I Highly Recommend this book but you do need an open mind to bridge unknown gaps which Mr. Braden helps guide via science and most recent research regarding oneness.

From the forefather advocate of psychedelics and hallucinogenics comes a book about plants, drugs, and our human evolution. Whether we like to acknowledge it or not, natural plants help expand human consciousness into the global species we are today. Food of the Gods is similar to How to Change Your mind (which I would recommend reading instead of or at least before Food of the Gods.) Great book for its time. Would re-read again.
