Historia
After the assassination of his wife and son, Gabriel Allon retires from his brutal anti-terrorist career and loses himself in his previous cover job: art restoration. But when Tariq al-Hourani, the Palestinian terrorist responsible for his family’s death, begins a killing spree designed to destroy Middle East peace talks, Gabriel once again slips into the shadowy world of international intrigue. In a global game of hide-and-seek, the motives of Gabriel and Tariq soon become more personal than political.

Formulaic

Although George Guidall Makes anything he narrates compelling and fun this one from Daniel Silva is just a little too predictable and formulaic.

Historia
CIA counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp falls prey to government forces with an agenda of their own after Dr. Irene Kennedy is named the successor to dying CIA Director Thomas Stansfield—a choice that enrages many inside the world’s most powerful intelligence agency. Her detractors will resort to extreme measures to prevent her from taking the reins—which makes Rapp an expendable asset. But Mitch Rapp is no one’s pawn, and he will stop at nothing to find out who has set him up.

Good story, lousy storyteller
Revisado: 12-14-13
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
This narrator does have a very positive aspect...he makes you appreciate George Guidall for the talent that he is. Mitch Rapp is a very compelling character and the stories are tense and suspenseful with George's narration, with Nick Sullivan's they're ve-ry stil-ted and eXaCT, with e-v-ery coNSoNaNT and syllable laboriously punctuated. The thrill is gone...
