Cool powers, hexes, and curses litter a broken world where humanity must play a deranged version of the Hunger Games to save the multiverse. This isn't another EverQuest clone. It is a new and refreshing take on the genre. I can't wait to do into book three.

There's a lot to unpack with this one. Multiple systems are in play and breadcrumbs from the beginning lead to major changes later. I can't get into too much without spoiling it, but this is a fantastic sword and sorcery LitRPG.

What started out as a serial is now a series of novels. Book 2 is an excellent addition in this way, solidifying the new format. Storywise the Dungeon Runners really come into their own in this book. There's lots of action and added depth to the overall narrative.
