Historia
Despite her famous pseudonym, no one knows the truth about “Jane Roe”, Norma McCorvey (1947-2017), whose unwanted pregnancy in 1970 opened a great fracture in American life. Journalist Joshua Prager spent years with Norma, discovered her personal papers, a previously unseen trove, and witnessed her final moments. With an explosive revelation at the core of the case, he tells her full story for the first time.

Missed opportunity; Missed the point.

I really wanted to learn more about the Roe v Wade case and why it is so enduringly divisive. The book focused on the life of a person who’s story contributed little to the bigger picture of this issue. Jane Roe was not pregnant when the case went to the Supreme Court, She did not have an abortion - nor did she care. This was a dull chronological journey through the morass of one woman’s life - which was unchanged by this case and she did not seem to notice.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Not sure
What was most disappointing about George Carlin’s story?
This was not cleaver or funny. Mostly loud and overwrought.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
No. It was old material served up again and again.
