Historia
Sorcha has spent her life helping raise her many siblings but now finally has the chance to seek her own adventures. At least, she did, before she was snatched from her horse and peddled by slavers. Taken far from home, she's brought to the worst place imaginable—the craggy western mountains infested with brutal, brutish orcs. All humans know to fear them and stay away, and now she's been sold to the cruelest clan chief of them all. But the first orc she meets is nothing like the stories. He's gentle. He frees her.

this story was wonderful and spicy. Just what I needed. there were times when the main female character drove me crazy when she waddled between being strong and knowing what to do but not doing it. that being said it was very human of her. the main male character had his own trauma and it was great to hear them grown into better people.

forgot this one was a bit annoying
Revisado: 12-29-22
I bought this book awhile ago and went to read it for a second time. 10 minutes in I'm wondering why I bought this and how I finished it. while the narrator is good the storybhas some ridiculous parts. the main female works for the mailing industry but knows absolutely nothing about the planet she's going to or the fact that things from earth are not normal. then she's super confused why no one understands her...how did she get the job?! this is not a book a can get through a second time. I hate when independent women are made into dummies. ugh

love the premise!
Revisado: 08-30-22
I loves this story. I was crying, laughing and getting hot and bothered. the female lead is annoying and she is supposed to a bit older than I feel like thw typical leads are in these stories. she was winey and self righteous not that the male was perfect.
the sexy stuff is hot and heavy and not for the timid or folks who only believe in "traditional" pleasures. that being said the romance is male female. I love Shane west but I hated his final portrayal this time around. but grimar can talk dirty to me any day 😘

Historia
Luana’s colony is under threat of an impending attack. As the sole child of their grievously wounded leader, she seeks aid from the only other native species on the planet. Consenting to a marriage of convenience with one of the Zelconians, a peaceful bird-like race, would secure the protection her village desperately needs. As much as that prospect terrifies her, Luana cannot deny being intrigued by the hybrid she is to marry, with his strange eyes full of stars, his majestic wings, and his hypnotic voice.

first one is best but...
Revisado: 07-29-22
I liked this one. it was well written and the birdman is a hottie. that being said I wished furore naughty bits to the story.
also I often found my mind wandering with this one as the story didn't captivate me as much as the first. I've read that this book connects to the next so I anticipated this to be a set up book and not an amazing stand-alone.
it's a good book and worth the credit but I may not read it again anytime soon.

All sorcerers are evil. Elisabeth has known that as long as she has known anything. Raised as a foundling in one of Austermeer’s Great Libraries, Elisabeth has grown up among the tools of sorcery - magical grimoires that whisper on shelves and rattle beneath iron chains. If provoked, they transform into grotesque monsters of ink and leather. She hopes to become a warden, charged with protecting the kingdom from their power. Then an act of sabotage releases the library’s most dangerous grimoire.

same 5 voices but great sound
Revisado: 05-30-22
I love this story. while the narrator is good I have to admit that most of the voices sound the same. the main characters are all different but all other voices are slight variations of those to me. or of a voice used by a now deceased person. it threw me off at first.
this is one of my favorite YA books. the characters are young but don't seem vapid or winey. they are older souls discovering the world together.

hot and scaley
Revisado: 03-22-22
I really liked this story. the male voice was perfect and i like the dominace in the male. It was peppered with feeling, empathy, compassion and growth. The female narrator took me a bit longer to adjust to.
I'm usually not a fan of overarching stories where the plot develops between multiple books unless its the same characters. however this does have an ending so it's not nessacary to keep reading.

steamy? yes. Narration? maybe
Revisado: 03-01-22
This book is super hot. I thought it might be a little weird but took the chance, the love the intimacy scenes. Even though sex is a focus, the story isn't sacrificed. at times the narrator sounds whiney and tends to flip voices in error, speaking at the male then all of a sudden sound like the female. trying to have a husky male voice is difficult to accomplish. however I'll be listening to this again

an interesting ending but it'll do
Revisado: 01-05-22
This was a fitting ending. I read all siz in the series back to back. I feel like the main female character got worse until the last hour when she finally stood up for herself, each book I became a bit more disappointed. I adore how the palace staff grew and learning more about thier lives. I can't imagine how the author choose a select few of the 1000 characters to elaborate on.

Historia
When I answered an ad for a caretaker at Saint Mark’s Sanctuary, I thought I’d be dusting chandeliers and polishing floors. I didn’t expect to be tricked into a curse, going into debt to a monster, and being forced to take a self-paced “let’s learn magic” course so I can fix a 2,000-year-old problem. And that monster? Not your ordinary, everyday beast. He has hooves, and horns, and fur on his legs. But you know where he doesn’t have fur? Yeah. There. Which is fine. Except he doesn’t wear pants.

why is this a series?
Revisado: 12-29-21
I loved this book and was really happy to purchase it. I'm disappointed it has a book 2. it didn't say so in the beginning. I don't want this to get complicated with a bunch of lovers and confusion. I want Pell and Pie! about half way into this book I knew it wasn't going to come to close. so I looked it up and sure enough it didn't.
on top of that ending the sex scenes, or lack there of, were a bit of a disappointment. I was like..wait when did they start having sex? oh this one is kinda hot. Then the hotness was over. not sure I'll spend money on book two until I know if there's a book 3 and a bit more about where the story is going.
