I was on the edge of my seat during the beginning of the book. With the other Curvy Girl’s Club books that I’ve read, I felt the attraction and affection starting pretty soon, but this kept me waiting for more with each snide/teasing comment from Ray, and Ginger’s red-faced “cat got your tongue” moments. The romance came so fast at the climax and abruptly shattered all at the same time with Ginger’s attack. I wanted to scream and throw my phone at one point. But I hung in and I’m so glad I did. Another amazing book, Kelsie!

New Obsession

I found this series on Instagram and didn’t know how it would turn out when I made my purchase on Audible.

As a fellow “curvy girl” with PCOS, Hashimoto’s Disease, and mental health issues that has struggled (and still struggles) with similar issues to these women in the author’s stories, I find that a piece of my soul that has been locked inside a steel cage has finally peeked out.

I am a 23 year old college student who has dedicated her life to her education, and no time to my social life or romantic endeavors. Instead, I live vicariously through books like these. Heroines that actually go for things instead of stalling out like I have.

I hope one day, I’ll bump into my own “hot guy” who sees me for me and not size or the many other frustrating symptoms of my conditions. I sure haven’t found them yet, or maybe they haven’t gotten up the courage to talk to me yet. Either way, I’ll be waiting and watching with my earbuds in and listening to my guilty pleasures until they become my own story.

Dreaming of a James!!!

This books kept me going all day during my work shift. Beautiful writing, amazing characters, and a story that I couldn’t help relating with in more ways than one.

I have learned to coexist with my mental illness, because that is what it is: an illness. This books illustrates that perfectly in a way that made me see what life in the future could be like.

I will say this has raised my s/o expectations. I hope I can find a James who is equally sexy and caring.

PERFECTION

I swear I wanted to read it as soon as I saw the author’s TikTok about it! I binged on audio and finished in a day. Definitely recommend, be warned of sensitive content and possible bouts of tears of sadness and joy!
