Maas....
I consider it a true honor that I am alive to experience the freshness and sheer genius that is your literature. It is visceral, plays my heart strings like some expert bard, and generally makes me lose sleep.
This novel is no exception.
I have cried as a grown man, cheered with a might huzzah, and felt enough goosebumps to fill a flock.
Thank you.

WORTH THE WAIT
Revisado: 08-05-23
To say that this is one of the most satisfying series is the understatement of a lifetime. it fits the genre SO WELL, bends expectations, delivers glorious twists, and...hear me out... DOESN'T SOUND LIKE IT WAS WRITTEN BY A PREPUBESCENT CHILD!!!
Well done. This is amongst the highest echelons of this genre, hands down.

Historia
The Earth is changing. The alien invasion brought social upheaval, advanced technology, and an armada of peacekeeping robots. But Alan, a college student pursuing a now-useless degree, cares little about all of this. He has only one thing on his mind: the Game. A fully immersive virtual reality, the Game appears to be a major part of the invading civilization. Alan can't wait to play, recklessly diving into the digital universe. Soon though, Alan realizes the Game is anything but simple, and the stakes are higher than he ever imagined.

Pretty fantastic concept for a story with awesome world building
Revisado: 01-11-23
I really like the RPG world Cosimo Yap designed; the space adventure, the guilds, the intergalactic wars, the cool weapons and combat systems - it was all very compelling. I did find some of the characters a bit dry, like Katana, the Japanese sword mistress who uses … a Katana. That’s like calling a guy Gun who shoots pistols. Some stuff like that made it feel a little archetypal, but overall, I had a great listening experience and can’t wait to read book number 2!

Historia
Jason arrives at a kingdom in peril and he's surprised to discover that it's not his job to save it. With the authorities fulfilling their responsibilities (for once), he looks forward to some quiet time to rest and recuperate. The locals might not find ceaseless monster onslaughts and an interdimensional invasion relaxing, but Jason has had a rough few years. He's doing his best to let go of his anger. While his team is caught up in duty, Jason has no shortage of people looking to interfere with his rest. Enemies—old and new—are circling, and even would-be allies are trouble.

Revisado: 10-14-22
Shirtaloon has knocked another one out of the park. I’ve been enchanted by this whole story all summer long, listening while I do yardwork. It’s such a great adventure to get lost into, has great commentary on bravery, heroism, and sacrifice, and grips your heart. Can’t wait to read the next one.

His moment of heroism results in being torn away from everyone he knew and loved, kidnapped by an unknown force that leaves him with a note in his pocket stating: "Good luck." After being thrown into the wilderness of Elatra, a hostile fantasy world ruled by levels, stats, progression, and bizarre video game logic, he finds himself entirely out of his depth.

HOT DAMN!
Revisado: 08-30-22
This book should be listed as one of LitRPG's finest. It is refreshingly different from the dozens of cookie-cutter stories out there in this beloved genre. The author has employed a divine mixture of familiar tropes that then take radical turns in the story, all while actually making you invest in the characters.
And let me tell you, the end's fight sequence is absolutely gorgeous---convicting, original, and motivational.
I entered this book with the hopes of a tide-me-over, and I got a 5-course meal instead.

Historia
Now the site of EBO’s first completed Red Cathedral, the Onyx Delta has become the center of the virtual world, and the entire player base is descending on Ned’s city to try their hand at the fearsome new raid and reap the game-changing rewards within. At the same time, a powerful, menacing guild is running roughshod over the western continents, razing every city in their wake and winning Frank’s obnoxiously loud approval from afar. But Ned knows that it’s only a matter of time before their forces sail east to the delta and attempt to burn down everything he’s built.

Revisado: 08-17-22
I have absolutely loved this LitRPG series, but I gotta tell ya, this latest addition blew me out of the water. In particular, the final sequences where so much AWESOME occurred, I was left speechless. This was, by far, one of the most satisfying reads I've had in many a moon.

Afflicted with a painful disease and abandoned by his parents because of it, he has had to fight tooth and nail for every minor advantage life has allowed him. However, his perseverance has not gone unnoticed, and when the most powerful artificial intelligence in human history takes an interest in him, things began to change quickly.

The Gateway Drug to LitRPG
Revisado: 09-22-21
As an avid writer and reader, I have developed a healthy skepticism when it comes to books within the genre that I love. As such, I am well aware of the reality that LitRPG, as a genre of literature, is in its infancy. This is why the Iron Prince is truly and unequivocally amongst the zenith of this new and incredible art form. It is incredibly fun and compelling, with powerful and intricate characters that ACTUALLY DEVELOP OVER THE COURSE OF THE BOOK.
Beyond this, the consistency of the world is spectacular, easy to comprehend, and does not involve the grocery-list-reading ubiquitous to this genre whenever the MC brings out their character sheet. Granted, it happens a bit, but it is quick and filled with anticipation.
If you are looking for an incredible all-around book that is clearly the seed of what is indubitably going to be an unforgettable series, this book is for you. As this is the case of true fangirls, my ONLY complaint is that I have to wait with those I have gathered on this worthy bandwagon for the next installation on a genre defining story.

An Unmistakeable Genius
Revisado: 01-10-21
So, I have unwittingly purchased every audible that this author has put out. I did so because each series, even in isolation, were stellar. As I listened to more and more, however, I finally (much to my own chagrin) realized the interconnectivity of so many of these stories.
Thus, when I say that this author has surpassed all standards for the most epic, intricate, and consistent world building in fictional literature, I say so with the utmost confidence.
