Historia
There are two sides to every story: yours and mine, ours and theirs, his and hers. Which means someone is always lying. When a woman is murdered in Blackdown, a quintessentially British village, newsreader Anna Andrews is reluctant to cover the case. Detective Jack Harper is suspicious of her involvement, until he becomes a suspect in his own murder investigation. Someone isn’t telling the truth, and some secrets are worth killing to keep.

Twists and turns
Revisado: 01-24-25
I personally was not a big fan of this book. It did have lots of tuition turns and at the end I was a little surprised, but I just felt a miss something I wanted more so as much as I wanted to recommend this book, it was just OK for me.

Historia
Born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho, Tara Westover was seventeen the first time she set foot in a classroom. Her family was so isolated from mainstream society that there was no one to ensure the children received an education, and no one to intervene when one of Tara’s older brothers became violent. When another brother got himself into college, Tara decided to try a new kind of life. Her quest for knowledge transformed her, taking her over oceans and across continents, to Harvard and to Cambridge University.

Because it was a true story I finished it.
Revisado: 01-10-25
I had high hopes that this would be a gripping biography, however I found it to be interesting but not gripping it was OK. The family obviously had some major hurdles to get through and for the most part without giving too much away their lifestyle was very different and I imagine quite challenging.
The narration was good. I found myself speeding up the book so I could get through it toward the end it seems Too long for me, but it was good overall.

Ends with a twist
Revisado: 08-09-24
I found this story pretty good. I felt like the storyline continue to move. Had a couple good twist. The characters are believable. The narrators were very good. I may like it a little more action but I would give this book a solid B+. Definitely a nice read because it was free and kept me entertained

The story just keeps getting better!
Revisado: 07-18-24
I fell in love with book one The Tour so much so I had to get the entire series. I have read them back to back and absolutely loved all of them. Destroyed line changes with each book keeping the story fresh. Connor reminds me so much of our tour guide while we were in Ireland with our small group. Now with the completion of book 5, I can’t wait to find out what goes on from this point. I love the way this book is Red. I love all the difference character voices. This book is a super easy book to listen to. I give a five stars the entire series. You will not be sorry now I’m off to see what’s next, but I am a fan.

Another Great Tour!
Revisado: 03-31-24
Raced through Book 1 and easily moved onto this Book 2 tour bus with a new full set of characters and a few from book 1.
I enjoyed the twists and turns and really loved listening to the narrator as much as the story.
Now tonight I start book 3 in her series!

Historia
Now reduced to a schoolyard chant, the Hope family murders shocked the Maine coast one bloody night in 1929. While most people assume seventeen-year-old Lenora was responsible, the police were never able to prove it. Other than her denial after the killings, she has never spoken publicly about that night, nor has she set foot outside Hope’s End, the cliffside mansion where the massacre occurred.

A Very Pleasant Surprise!!!
Revisado: 02-22-24
We started a bookclub and my family, and this was book one. Into it and embrace what this book really was telling.
Even though I feel the story dragged a bit, but man it ended with a bang. It made me think about life and decisions we make and about regrets at end of life. About what a privilege it is to be able to escort people into the next life. I did tear up a couple times in this book. It really did hit Home, a very different kind of book.
Really glad I was able to read this.

A Surprise Ending
Revisado: 12-28-23
In the beginning of the book I thought it was going to have material that would be hard for me to listen to. However as a storyline unfolds, it does work into the plot. I protected what was going to happen low and behold I was wrong and I actually really enjoy a book that can do that so I think its a worthy read and I love the narration.

A great book!
Revisado: 06-22-23
When I first started reading this book, I wasn’t sure what direction it was going to move, It has so many twists and turns and it kept my interest right to the end. I wasn’t predicting the end of this and anytime a book can do that I charge it to a really good book.
The narrator was very good which also makes or breaks a good audiobook. I do recommend this book.

Hi, my name is Bree Camden, and I’m hopelessly in love with my best friend and star quarterback Nathan Donelson (so is half of America, judging by the tabloids and how much the guy dates). The first step is admitting it, right? Except, I can never admit it to him because he clearly doesn’t see me that way, and the last thing I want is for things to get weird between us. Nothing but good old-fashioned no-touching-the-sexiest-man-alive platonic friendship for us! Everything is exactly how I like it! Yes. Good. (I’m not crying; I’m just peeling an onion.)

Loved this story
Revisado: 06-08-23
I wasn’t quite sure if I would be able to Stay focused enough to get through this book, however, having said that halfway through, I truly got engaged and found this to be one of the sweetest little love stories I’ve heard in a long time. If you’re looking for a steamy descriptive novel, this is not that. What this is has a very sweet look at a relationship that blossoms out of friendship which seldom we see in the world today. It was light enough, and it was illustrated nicely. No regrets I enjoyed this book.
