A snooze fest compared to the last book

Honestly it’s all slice of life. No real big decisions were made, no fight scenes, even the big reveal in the book seems bland because there are just time skips in between. I don’t know why but this book fell flat after the action and world building of the last couple books

Title misleading

This is basically a slice of life with colony building in the background. Story focuses more on dialogue than the tech! No mention of how anything works no menus no AI I’m extremely disappointed I wasted a credit and Audible won’t let me refund! Book would have been better if the main character started alone

Just another hero book with the villain title

This book had potential, it really honestly did. Then they went and turned the main character into the Wanda be good guy hero. If you came here hoping for an evil mc look elsewhere

Mx hub….title doesn’t lie nothing else happens

This book dragged on and on. Why do we need to listen to every workout session or training session. Could have easily been skipped. Guy doesn’t even leave the freaking space station the whole book. There are 2 “fight scenes” just to keep us listening hoping for what drew us to the first book. I wouldn’t even mind if they went into detailing the actual changes to tactics and load outs the guy wants on the mechs but it skips right over the most important details for fluff! Do better.

I tried so hard…

I had one credit left out of 5. Started the book really liked it on the beginning fights magic blood and guts dead bodies everywhere quite enjoyable!. Then the first companion came and the fights slowed then the second companion came in and oh my god the NAGGING. All the second companion does is nag nag nag brings the whole character that was built up to a grinding hault. The fight scenes came to a trickle because MC got nagged to death about putting herself into danger. It’s worse than an over controlling boyfriend character! I honestly spent the last 4 hours of my life listening to this audiobook wishing and praying the second companion dies a horrible death and quickly just so I don’t have to listen to another word from her mouth. I still have 3 hours left in this book and I have to return it. I’m done

just came here to say soundbooth theater is having to much fun with this seriously the end credits were my favorite part of the book. love these guys

A solid installment

During this book, I was very bored honestly. when time travel comes into play it always gets messy. anyway we finally get some major secrets and mysteries revealed. some things in the main characters past are cleared up. overall it was a slow burn unlike this author's previous books with action non stop. the ending was the only point that I was actually excited. I am eagerly awaiting the next book and I hope the demon John makes a comeback.

another great addition

I won't lie, I was not a fan of the previous book in the series. however my faith has been renewed! no more party members dragging joe down and some actual character growth for our MC! The dwarves are funny and cause a bunch of funny dialogue throughout the book. the elves are what you would expect. overall 10/10 would buy again.

barely got through it

let me start off by saying I am a major procrastinator and usually play computer games while I listen to audiobooks. let that speak to you about how large the stupid has to be for me to even care to pause my game.

now that is out of the way after listening to 4 different parts of this story I had to pause everything and think to myself "what the actual f***". the plot was so incredulous I had to actually stop what I was doing and listen to the chapter again to be sure I wasn't imagining the level of stupid I just listened to. I won't spoil the plot for you but the plot holes in this book are larger than a carrier class starship.
The first 1:45:00 literally NOTHING HAPPENED. just dialogue and not the world building kind. then they get separated from command and find an alien creature by the name arcanist more chapters and chapters of dialogue and later was my first "wtf the author of this book can't be serious" moments.
overall the dialogue is at a middle school level the action scenes are stale, the WHOLE PLOT IS ABSURD! if this book was written to happen in a "realistic" military environment this book would not have been written literally. that's how stupid the MC and big the plot holes needed for this book to work is.
