Historia
After a summer spent trying to prevent a catastrophic war among the Greek gods, Percy Jackson finds his seventh-grade school year unnervingly quiet. His biggest problem is dealing with his new friend, Tyson, a six-foot-three, mentally challenged homeless kid who follows Percy everywhere, making it hard for Percy to have any "normal" friends.

So worth the hype!
Revisado: 04-23-25
I’ve been in a reading slump, so it’s been so fun to buddy read this series with my 8yo & 7yo! Honestly, I totally get the hype. This series is fast-paced, the voice pops, the characters are so easy to root for, and the world-building is chef’s kiss.
My 8yo has already finished all 7 books, & honestly just ask for Percy Jackson merch & more Rick Riordan books for his birthday. Even my 7yo is halfway into book 3, so I’ve got to catch up! And I’m so looking forward to it! Middle grade perfection recommended for all!

Sci-fi with big Star Trek & Battlestar Galactica vibes
Revisado: 02-14-25
A smart, techy sci-fi adventure with big Star Trek & Battlestar Galactica vibes & side of slowburn romance. Skyla was definitely my favorite POV, and I loved the idea of the connection with the ships. (Also, I loved that she had Fenrir - think big, epic doggo!) Definitely recommend for sci-fi fans looking for a space opera with big military & science elements.

Everything was perfect until he lost one case—the case where he also lost his brother. So Finch retired. From magic. From PI work. From everything. Bree Blackstone, a twelve-year-old witch, doesn’t know or care about any of that except Finch’s reputation. In the middle of the night, she bangs on Finch’s door. Her mother has been murdered, and now the assassin is after Bree as well.

Solid vampire paranormal romance
Revisado: 12-12-24
A fast-paced vampire paranormal with spice. I liked Bones, but Kat drove me a little crazy, and I wasn’t a huge fan of the ending. But the story was engrossing and I think I’ll still take a peek at book two.

A quick heist caper with magic
Revisado: 12-04-24
I’m pretty much always down for a heist in a magical world. The narration was fantastic, it had a quick pace to it and a satisfying end… but the characters didn’t quite pop for me. Not quite for me, but If you’re looking for a fast-paced magical heist, this one might be for you !

A Fun Romantasy Romp through a Magical Wood
Revisado: 11-19-24
This book was such a fun surprise!
What I liked:
- Cozy Romantasy Vibes
- Likable protagonists
- Fabulous Audiobook Narration
- Magical forest hijinks
- In general, just a sweet fun story
- Nice tension throughout. I honestly found myself worrying (in a good way) if it would have a satisfying ending or if I'd have to wait for the sequel.
What I didn't like
- The pacing of the last 25% or so didn't quite fit for me. In some ways, it feels like they're having the same communication for a little too long.
Recommended for those looking for a fun romantasy with likable protagonists and a pinch of spice. And I'm totally game for book 2! (4.5/5)

Fun premise
Revisado: 10-23-24
I picked up this one on the recommendation of a friend, and I would describe it as Sherlock meets a paranormal-flavored Doctor Who in the late 19th century. It’s a fun premise and was a quick read, but the characters just didn’t quite shine for me. This is one of my friend’s favorite though, so if the premise calls to you, I recommend you give it a look!

Loved it! Bring on book 7!
Revisado: 10-16-24
Dayuummm. Not going to lie, in book 6, I was worried I was getting tired of this series, but this one totally amped up the stakes. The new battle play was interesting, and the tension and pacing were tight through the end. My husband and I are both counting down the days until book 7!
