His accent is British half the time, and the other half he sounds like someone who moved to England from India around age 10. Isn't this supposed to take place in Wales?

Most Satisfying Ending

The entire series was wonderful, engaging, and full of interesting twists. However, I have to say it had the most satisfying ending I have ever read or listened to in a book.

Iverall the book was enjoyable and in line with the first one in terms of character development and story development.

However the ending felt insanely rushed as though the publisher said, "We won't wait any longer. You have to turn in whatever you've got right now." And that was that.

A New Favorite!

This book (which is 3 books in one), is absolutely clever, fun, quirky, sweet, and hilarious! I read all kinds of genres, but I don't often move towards the cozy village type stories. However, this is one to absolutely spend a credit or put even pay full price for. I'm actually thinking about buying it in paperback which I haven't done in years in order to support the author. I hope to see more from her soon!

AI Narration is not a good thing

first of all let me talk about the book itself. It was an interesting if 100% trope-y premise, but it seemed to move more into a legal story rather than a romance story. there were several times when I wondered if the book written by AI as well. the reason why I say that is there were strange word choices, such as "unpleased" which should be displeased.
to put that part of my review in short, I fell asleep several times during sections and when I woke up I really didn't feel like I missed anything.
Now I want to talk about AI narration. on the one hand I can see how it would be useful for visually impaired people, which includes myself, to be able to use it at will for books that don't have professional narration available. however, there is just something missing from the Cadence and tone when it's done by AI. I do have to say that this book was many times better than the first AI narrated book I listen to several months ago, so clearly the AI has been learning this at a fast pace.
my main concern is that we might lose the talents of professional narrators if AI becomes used more and more often. that that bothers me a lot as a former stage actor. we need to hold on to the Arts and it's relationship to our Humanity.

Narrator is good if...

the narrator is okay so long as you're a fan of listening to a person tell the story like they're talking about it at a TED Talk and not like they're actually voice acting. I kept expecting to see a chart or PowerPoint thrown up on a screen in my bedroom showing me a Venn diagram of something regarding their love story. I liked the premise a lot, so I wish that had come to fruition both via the actual book itself but mostly the narration simply left it feeling flat.
