Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Really good
Revisado: 12-28-19
One of my favorite audiobooks. I have about 200. This is a top 5. I loved the incorporation of audio or acted out transcripts. Very well done.

Historia
What are the grand dynamics that drive the accumulation and distribution of capital? Questions about the long-term evolution of inequality, the concentration of wealth, and the prospects for economic growth lie at the heart of political economy. But satisfactory answers have been hard to find for lack of adequate data and clear guiding theories.

HOLY CRAP THIS GUY CAN TALK
Revisado: 06-29-16
Would you try another book from Thomas Piketty and Arthur Goldhammer (translator) and/or L. J. Ganser?
While I like the topic, respect people's time... get to the point. The rambling is OVER THE TOP! I am still muscling through this book, but the plethera of definitions and detail of each definition dedicated to just the INTRO of this book is boaderline nausiating. While I appreciate the time and effort dedicated to this topic, there needs to be a truncated version of this book.
Do you think Capital in the Twenty-First Century needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
YES. a TRUNKATED VERSION! Why do we value LONGER books over shorter ones?! Quality is more important than QUANTITY.

Historia
In The Referral of a Lifetime, author Tim Templeton frames a powerful plan for cultivating clients and customers in a fable about businesswoman Susie McCumber, who feels increasingly like a failure. A friend refers her to the mysterious Mr. Highground, who introduces her to four successful people. They show her how they transformed their businesses and their lives by determining how others view them and how they view themselves.

Good, a little long winded
Revisado: 01-08-15
Good book, a little long winded. I wish they talked faster, and chopped out a bit of the "story" part, but I did like and implemented their ideas.
