Historia
Tired of the pace and noise of life near London and longing for a better place to raise their young children, Mary J. MacLeod and her husband, George, encountered their dream while vacationing on a remote island in the Scottish Hebrides. Enthralled by its windswept beauty, they soon were the proud and startled owners of a near-derelict croft house - a farmer’s stone cottage - on “a small acre” of land. Mary assumed duties as the island’s district nurse.

Couldn't finish it
Revisado: 06-08-17
Would you try another book from Chevy Stevens and/or the narrators?
The writing is predictable and mediocre. The girls decisions are frustrating, and the violence is gratuitous.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Not by this authour
Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?
They were all annoying.

Well written, and well narrated, but annoying
Revisado: 03-12-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This book was a quick listen. And despite being frustrated with the main character, you really had to finish it to understand her motives. I would recommend it, but be warned--the story line is annoying at times. You just want to yell at these people to be kind and considerate.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
There were so many loose ends at the conclusion. It leaves you wondering if the authour wants to leave it to the reader to decide, or if there was some bad editing.
What does Eva Kaminsky bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Eva Kaminsky gives voice to Mary Beth that you might not experience with the print version, though at times, she is not a likeable character.

Loved the quirky characters
Revisado: 01-22-17
What made the experience of listening to Murder in Hindsight the most enjoyable?
I think it was the reader. She infused life into the characters, and changed her voice appropriately. This book was a pleasure to listen to.
What did you like best about this story?
The nice blend of romance and mystery. Good plotlines that kept you interested.
Which character – as performed by Marcella Riordan – was your favorite?
Doyle!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, it kept me interested and I couldn't wait to listen to the next one.
Any additional comments?
A great listen. Some readers aren't able to switch from one character to another seamlessly, or they don't do male/female voices well, but Marcella Riordan did a splendid job.

An infuriating waste of a credit
Revisado: 01-22-17
Would you try another book from Louise Jensen and/or Natalie Blass?
The narrator saved this book from being a total loss, so I would definitely purchase another book read by Natalie Blass.
Would you ever listen to anything by Louise Jensen again?
Apparently this was Lousie Jensen's first book? So perhaps in successive books she has better editing, but not likely.
Have you listened to any of Natalie Blass’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No
What character would you cut from The Sister?
I think they were all essential to the story line.
Any additional comments?
The book meandered back and forth through time. Much of the writing was cliche'd and repetitive. The main character vomited and gasped for air so many times, it was beyond ridiculous. The story-line was unbelievable, and the heroine was annoying--that anyone could be so oblivious to being victimized is hard to understand.
