Phenomenal
Revisado: 04-06-25
Wonderful book - enjoyed every minute . The author does a wonderful job of reading his story of his years as a prosecutor. He maps it all out in clear concise language and a style that makes you want to keep listening. I can see why he was so successful ! He is humble and gives credit to his colleagues and mentors. For true crime fans this is essential ! Thank you for what you have done Mr Murphy !

Better editing needed

Loved the narration, the book needed a better editor - got bogged down in too much unnecessary description. I would have enjoyed it much more if it was less draggy

Entertaining
Revisado: 03-23-25
What I liked was that the author did her research on a subject I love . What I didn’t like was the absolutely absurd twists and turns in the plot! I guess the author likes to give her readers a happy ending no matter how unlikely they are! I still enjoyed listening to the book and the reader was great!

Historia
Frederick Fife was born with an extra helping of kindness in his heart. If he borrowed your car, he’d return it washed with a full tank of gas. The problem is there’s nobody left in Fred’s life to borrow from. At eighty-two, he’s desperately lonely, broke, and on the brink of homelessness. But Fred’s luck changes when, in a bizarre case of mistaken identity, he takes the place of grumpy Bernard Greer at the local nursing home. Now he has warm meals in his belly and a roof over his head—as long as his poker face is in better shape than his prostate and that his look-alike never turns up.
