Historia
A Bridge Too Far is Cornelius Ryan’s masterly chronicle of the Battle of Arnhem, which marshaled the greatest armada of troop-carrying aircraft ever assembled and cost the Allies nearly twice as many casualties as D-day. In this compelling work of history, Ryan narrates the Allied effort to end the war in Europe in 1944 by dropping the combined airborne forces of the American and British armies behind German lines to capture the crucial bridge across the Rhine at Arnhem. Focusing on a vast cast of characters, Ryan brings to life one of the most ill-fated operations of the war.

Great story much better than the movie

Boring performance for a classic.
Revisado: 09-10-24
The narrator speaks in a near monotone, making what should have been a fascinating book somewhat boring and hard to follow.

Historia
Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body. As Jin, I’m a man of the earth. A wielder of shovels and lord of rice and wheat. And sure, I also had to die and get pulled into another universe to end up here. But guess what? I’m starting to think it was worth it. I’ve somehow managed to get away from it all.

An excellent story perfectly performed.

This is an excellent story in the Beware of Chicken series. Some might say it’s a little too “happy ending”-ish, but sometimes it’s ok to hear a story where the good guys win.

Historia
Golan Trevize, former councilman of the First Foundation, has chosen the future, and it is Gaia. A superorganism, Gaia is a holistic planet with a common consciousness so intensely united that every dewdrop, every pebble, every being, can speak for all - and feel for all. It is a realm in which privacy is not only undesirable, it is incomprehensible. But is it the right choice for the destiny of mankind? While Trevize feels it is, that is not enough. He must know.

Really needs to be recorded with a new narrator
Revisado: 11-08-23
The story is a classic, part of the Foundation series by Asimov. I read the book years ago and found it entertaining. That being said, this narration is pretty awful. The narrator sounds like a computer generated voice that is use to narrate TikToks and other short videos. At first I thought there was something wrong with my phone, the narration is so stiff and off. Alas. If you want to try to listen to this, speed it up slightly to make the voice more bearable. I will not be listening to any more audio books narrated by Larry McKeever. He has gained infamy with this production,

Great story, but bad audio book
Revisado: 05-23-23
This is a great story and a continuation of this 4 book series by Cornwell. I've read the book and greatly enjoyed it. However, be very careful. There's a very abridged 6-hour version of the audio book and an unabridged 13-hour version. Make sure that you are buying the 13-hour version. I ignorantly bought the abridged version first and this version is jarring and missing important plot elements. I've since bought the unabridged version and the missing parts are restored.
