Long time fan of Trae and Corey, but even so their utter delight and great observations about the UK was extremely charming. You HAVE to listen to this one. It’s not even a question. Just get the audiobook already. They need part 2, stat.

Heartfelt cautionary tale

The fact that Mike Rinder is such a kind person after going through such a harrowing life is a real testament to his humanity. This is a well written book especially for an autobiography. Mike reads it and I found it very easy to understand his clear dictation and it really added a lot because his emotions show through. The only negative I would say is that probably people should read Going Clear or Janet Reitman’s book about Scientology first. Since this is an autobiography, I think someone new to the history of this cult, could use something more well rounded. So read one or both of those for the detailed background and then come read this one for a personal story (or watch Scientology and the Aftermath). There are a ton of people involved and it might be super overwhelming for people new to the topic.
