Historia
The Coldfire trilogy tells a story of discovery and battle against evil on a planet where a force of nature exists that is capable of reshaping the world in response to psychic stimulus. This terrifying force, much like magic, has the power to prey upon the human mind, drawing forth a person's worst nightmare images or most treasured dreams and indiscriminately giving them life. This is the story of two men. They are absolute enemies who must unite to conquer an evil greater than anything their world has ever known.

I love this series so m7ch, and have since I was a teenager. I wasn't sure about the performance at first, but it grows on you and ends up being a wonderful telling.

I really love this series, and the performance was done so well. I wish Summer Queen had been done, too, and perhaps some of the in-between novellas.

Verbal Judo is the classic guide to the martial art of the mind and mouth that can help you defuse confrontations and generate cooperation, whether you're talking to a boss, a spouse, or even a teenager. For more than a generation, Dr. George J. Thompson's essential handbook has taught people how to communicate more confidently and persuasively in any situation.

Great advice

This has a ton of great stuff. It's irritatingly given, often, by a white male cop who assumes the woelf should comply, will comply. more emphasis could be given to those of us society often chooses to listen to less.

Historia
This adventure in science and imagination, which the Medical Tribune said might herald "a Copernican revolution for the life sciences", leads the listener through unexplored jungles and uncharted aspects of mind to the heart of knowledge. In a first-person narrative of scientific discovery that opens new perspectives on biology, anthropology, and the limits of rationalism, The Cosmic Serpent reveals how startlingly different the world around us appears when we open our minds to it.

If Alex Jones wanted an excuse to Trip
Revisado: 08-09-17
The narration was well-executed, so this was interesting and engaging.
The content itself has great ideas in the beginning and the end, but logical fallacies wreck the miDale and the logical conclusion. I was relieved to hear that although the audio book was produced in 2016, the print book was released in 1998, which explains some things that the author left as open questuins, since resolved.
It appears logic is not the author's forte, as he repeatedly makes the fallacy of the inverse, where he assumes that "If P then Q" is true, then "tests" it by finding Q, so he assumes P. In other words, "if koalas had three thumbs, they could hold onto branches better than humans. Koalas hold onto branches better than humans, so therefore koalas must have three thumbs." But the inverse of a statement is not logically equivalent, and even if it were, finding A does not make an P-->Q statement true.
In short, it's the type of argument Alex Jones would make if he wanted an excuse to Trip his balls off in the Amazon. Interesting, amusing, but neither rational not internally logical. But, hey, if I ever talk to the fluorescent cosmic alien snakes of life, I'll ask 'em.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Humbling Insights
Revisado: 08-03-17
I learned a lot about myself listening to this text. Firstly, the performance is outstanding. Period.
While I don't--and probably never will--agree with everything in here, quite a bit of it provoked not only thought, but action. I hope to read or listen to this again someday, maybe next year, and see how much my views have changed. Is some of my reticence merely immaturity?
The fact that I want to measure myself in terms of change is probably the most powerful measure of this book. I DO give a f---, and hopefully more about things that matter and fewer about things that don't.
A very compelling read.
