Love the straight forwardness of Gary

Gary Bishop's brand is giving it to you without sugar coating it. Straight forward, no BS. This book might be different from what your usual new age bs might tell you. So I highly recommend it.

It is Yngwie so that says it all...

I love how Yngwie set a lot of records straight and clarifies a lot of why the 80's and 90's magazines loved to create so much controversy from his words. He was just an outspoken guy but it seems that he never had the intention to get at other guitar players or musicians. It is a really cool humbling vibe coming from The Man himself. A most listen, specially for the typical Yngwie hater.

Enchanting story with mixes of mahical realism

Up front, when a friend recommended me this book knowing that I am a one of billions of musicians who never "made it" in the music world, I was sceptic as I don't really like fantasy reading. But for some reason I accepted the recommendation and I started listening. I have to say I am grateful of that friend now.
This is a story that will combine real life trivia and story telling fantasy to the point that you will start wondering if the "fantastic" elements of the novel actually happened. I think they should make this book into a movie. It will resonate to the masses of musicians, young and old.

Great Story Telling By "Gary" Lee Weinrib

I can't call myself a "Rush fan". I like them but I don't go crazy about them. However I loved this book. This is my first autobiography book. I had high expectations and I have to tell you that Geddy outdid himself. Great book.

Ok. Take this review with a grain of salt as this is my first Horror-gore book listening. In general its pretty decent. The narrator's voice and her overall tone is great. I think she saved the whole book. The story starts great, specially Vera's family story and the grim view of life. Is very graphical (I could mentally see almost everything being described). The story itself its good. But at certain point it becomes over saturated with gore and violence (not that I don't like it) BUT at first is kind of shocking, but then it becomes funny. If you are a gore death metal fan of bands like Gorgasm, Guttural Secrete, or more to the mainstream side Cannibal Corpse, you will LOVE this book, because its like listening to those bands but actually understanding the lyrics.

I am not a Facebook fan, but even though I am not a facebook fan, I have to say that these books seem to be exagerating some aspects.

I have to say that YES, there are evident problems with the reach of social media platforms (like Facebook, but not only limited to Facebook...However, I feel that the root problem is "us" the users and the developers. In other words, the problem is us, humans. It makes arguments like "guns don't kill people; People kill people..." valid arguments.
I've been in a listening binge (for lack of a better word) of books related to social media reach and it effects to "the fabric of existence" . And It feels that we are not well prepared to study the topic with certainty. At times it feels like the authors are promoting the social media's benefits instead of critisizing them, (while the author seem to be trying to convey the contrary)..

Finally, I recommend the listen, but listen with a grain of salt, pepper, and analizis.
