A family wealth plan for ordinary people
Revisado: 08-17-24
I've heard about the Rockefellers plan before, and always wanted to learn more. When I saw this book I knew I had to get it. They also put together a downloadable course you can sign up for with videos.
This is well thought out, researched and most of all bard on the authors experiences. I'm all in. I've shifted the way I think about money and wealth from this book. Excellent resource!

Historia
Turning the other cheek does not mean standing by while the enemies of God dismantle Christian civilization and brainwash our children. Decrying the cowardice that masquerades as meekness, Eric Metaxas summons the Church to battle. An attenuated and unbiblical “faith” based on what Bonhoeffer called “cheap grace” has sapped the spiritual vitality of millions of Americans. Paying lip service to an insipid “evangelism,” they shrink from combating the evils of our time. Metaxas refutes the pernicious lie that fighting evil politicizes Christianity.

Timely and Timeless
Revisado: 03-26-24
This is an important book for Christians because it's a call to rise above the limiting beliefs placed on us by those who desire most of all to preserve the status quo.
Metaxas' account of Bonhoffer's struggle in Nazi Germany is potent for American Christians today. As in the days of Bonhoffer, if Christians and the leaders remain silent, brutal days are before us.
I am a pastor and I was both inspired by this book, and confronted with some of my own views toward politics. I do recommend it, without hesitation.

Historia
Cultural observer Os Guinness argues that the American experiment in freedom is at risk. Summoning historical evidence on how democracies evolve, Guinness shows that contemporary views of freedom - most typically, a negative freedom from constraint - are unsustainable because they undermine the conditions necessary for freedom to thrive. He calls us to reconsider the audacity of sustainable freedom and what it would take to restore it.
