Love the content and length
Revisado: 08-27-24
Great information for me as I work for a very large corporation and have to go into the office a few days a week. The content has a very nice way of saying things when you are blindsided and do not know how to respond. I also really like the question/answer section at the end. I wouldn't be opposed to Jefferson answering a couple of questions (if more than one was submitted). Since time is limited, I really like the length. He says what needs to be said without being too wordy. Valuable advice is provided if you have to interact with other humans.

When Marlow House reopens as a bed and breakfast, one of its first guests is Danielle's former mother-in-law, who Danielle has not talked to since moving to Oregon. The mother-in-law brings with her one of the country's top mediums. Or as Danielle calls him, one of the country's top con-men.

Human narrators are a MUST! This one is great.
Revisado: 08-25-24
I started wtih Book 1 thinking I would read it and switch to something else, but I am not on Book 30 (listening to them all in a row). I was really glad about the new medium on this one (i don't want to give it away). I was bummed there wasn't more Adam in the book, but I know he'll be in others so it's okay to focus on other characters sometimes. I also would like to say that I am unhappy that some books are going to an AI narrators. I am very happy this one is human through the series, and I pray it stays that way. There were a few points on this audible where it repeated a sentence, but maybe it skipped or something... not sure if that is happening on everyone's. But it's no big deal. I really love this series and hope it is continuing. I had to use a credit on the next book as it wasn't included in the plus library, but it is worth it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BUT START WITH BOOK 1.

Another great book!
Revisado: 07-05-24
This whole series is excellent. Narration is very good. The author really knows how to create characters. I wish I could live at Marlow House! I started with Book 1 and haven't' stopped yet. I usually want to take a break in between a series of books, but I don't want to in this series.

Not my favorite - ALSO ZERO STARS FOR AUDIBLE
Revisado: 06-07-24
This was the first Marlow House book I wouldn't have minded skipping. The story wasn't great (annoying) and it didn't really make any sense as to why one of the characters didn't let anyone know she was a ghost in the first place. And then for some reason, it seemed like Heather's voice changed mid-way through to some weird rotton sultry version. Also, FRUSTRATED WITH AUDIBLE.COM. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAD A QUESTION AND THE CHAT WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO GET TO AN AGENT AND THEN THERE IS NO EMAIL ADDRESS. I CALLED AND GOT SOMEONE THAT I DON'T THINK WAS IN THIS COUNTRY AND SHE COULDN'T ANSWER MY SIMPLE QUESTION ON IF THEY HAD ANY KIND OF TWO-YEAR PLAN. AND SHE IS ASKING AND I'VE BEEN ON HOLD A LONG TIME. So, now I'm going to look into Apple Books. This series is VERY GOOD... but this book wasn't great. I'll continue on with the next one. Will look into other memberships instead of audible. Poor customer service. Very poor.

Great series (can't stop)
Revisado: 05-19-24
I made the mistake of starting this series and now I can't stop (that's a good thing). Great books. I can't always tell what is going to happen next which I like. I only wanted to read the first one and then wanted to read a different book (I like to switch it up), but I now realize that won't happen. I always want to know what is going to happen next. I will finish the series (although I hope more are coming). These books are well-written, and the narrator is wonderful (speaks clearly and at a good pace so I don't need to speed it up or slow it down). I'm at book 17 now (second chances). Great cozy mystery. Not too gory. Not a lot of heavy sex. Just a fun read! And that's what I want.

All that changes when her cousin, Cheryl, shows up to claim her share of the inheritance - housemate Lily figures out there is a ghost in the house - and the million-dollar necklace goes missing. Great book... worth the read!
Revisado: 01-31-24
The writer does TOO good of a job with the most annoying character (Cheryl)... the book was very well-written. Narration was good. I would definitely read this (I am continuing with the series). That being said, I do think the writer went on far too long with too many instances of Cheryl's annoying personality. We get it already--move on! I was so annoyed (and I have NEVER had to do thisi)... I thought about abandoning this book and trying Book 3. Instead, I went to the last chapters of the book to see if it would end in a fashion I would be okay with. And it was. So I went back and finished the book. I do feel the author did not need to go on so long showing us how annoying Cheryl was. But the book was still good if you can stick it out. I will be moving onto book 3.

Historia
When Danielle Boatman inherits Marlow House, she dreams of turning it into a seaside bed and breakfast. Since she's never visited the property, Danielle's not sure what awaits her in Oregon. She certainly doesn't expect to find one of the house's previous owners still in residence. After all, the man has been dead for almost 90 years - shouldn't he have moved on by now? Charming Walt Marlow convinces Danielle the only way he can move on is if she solves the mystery of his death.

Great book
Revisado: 01-31-24
I really enjoyed this book. It is a nice light mystery with paranormal which is perfect for me. The writer did a great job as well as the narrator. The only thing that bugged me was the Lilly character (annoying and kind of stupid/naive in the first book). But stick it out. She is much better in the second book. I haven't read the 3rd book yet but that's next on my list.

Great Series
Revisado: 01-13-24
I've read the full series (up until this one (New Year's Cleanup). Hoping for more. Good stories. Good narrator. The only thing I didn't like was the agruing in each book between Maggie and Neal (him trusting her/her trusting him... that got old fast). But there wasn't any of that in this last book which I was thrilled with. Hoping for more in the series and also hoping they keep them from arguing over stupid stuff.

Benedict Sorellin-Lancaster hasn't even broken in his lieutenant's insignia when he's summoned to meet with the Spirearch of Spire Albion himself for a very special—and very secret—purpose. The Spirearch needs Benedict to retrieve a bag he's "misplaced" on the Colony Spire known as Dependence, which has strangely cut off all contact with the outside world. It's a delicate mission at best, a potential bloodbath at worst. To this end, the Spirearch has supplied Benedict with backup in the form of three Warriorborn.

Historia
Just married, Lee and her husband, Detective Sergeant Pete Mondello, are settling into their new home when Lee is dubbed WICH-TV's new "Historical Documentary Chief Executive." Her first subject is the brand-new Salem International Museum, slated to be a location for traveling blockbuster exhibits, starting with "Seafaring New England." From research to collecting artifacts of Salem's long-ago days as a shipping capital, the project is a challenge—but when the driver of a truckload of antiquities turns up dead under a pile of fall leaves, it's not quite the kind of challenge Lee expected.

Another great Witch City Mystery
Revisado: 12-09-23
I was happy that this storyline is continuing. I liked the mystery and the resolution. All the characters are great. Fantastic writing. Personal preferences: I did finally realize that one of the things that I believe wasn't working as well is that the narrator tends to make the characters sound annoyed frequently. If I were reading the book myself instead of the audiobook, some of the lines might have been just comments and maybe they weren't meant to sound like the character was annoyed. I am also still bummed about Lee's gift. She still doesn't like it. I think her "gift" only appeared once or twice in this book. And River was hardly in it (another character I love). So there wasn't as much paranormal as I would have liked. I still love these books and will continue the series. They are worth getting.
