A good look into the Red Corsairs
Revisado: 08-03-24
I like all the characters, maybe Huron voice could have been quicker, but I can’t help think that 1/4 of this story was just filler/fluff to take up pages. Like when the talk about the surrounding area and if you listen will see what I mean. I love that Huron knows how to use people. Oh and that Valthrax the Corpse Master is still around after the Badab books from Forge World. I actually really like the Mechanicum Data Smith too. This is a great look into a bunch of disenfranchised ex Space Marines and I think Huron is the logical next step in progression for 40K moving away from Abaddon

The journey and destination were worth it
Revisado: 02-06-24
A fitting end to the Siege and a great beginning for the Scouring. Some may complain elsewhere online, but the fight between the Emperor & Horus was masterfully done showing how powerful he’d become. You can see how things will affect the 41st Millennium in little nuanced ways throughout the book. Dan Abbnet took little snippets of all the lore we knew from the 90’s and magnified from Olinus, the lone Custodian, the Angels sacrifice, Horus’s demise, etc. looking forward to what comes next.

Revisado: 12-10-23
Since Flight of the Eisenstein we all knew it was how it had to end. I think it was a fitting end without taking away from Jaghati’s fight in “Warhawk” the ending reminds me of the end of “Titan Death”
it’s good, read it. I do like Toby but I feel like I wish Johnathan Keeble could have narrated ALL the SoT novels & novellas

Before the being called the Emperor revealed himself, before the rise of the aeldari, before the necrontyr traded their flesh for immortal metal, the world was born in violence. Even when they inhabited bodies of flesh, Trazyn the Infinite and Orikan the Diviner were polar opposites. Trazyn, a collector of historical oddities, presides over a gallery full of the most dangerous artefacts - and people - of the galactic past. Orikan, a chronomancer without peer, draws zodiacs that predict and manipulate the future.

Revisado: 05-01-23
I’ve read sooo many BL books and this is my new favorite. If Warhammer TV made a Tom & Jerry like show where these two went at it I would subscribe another year!
I’m not even a Necron player and I’m going to buy at least these two’s models. Trazyn and Orikan are so interesting. This book had it all,
People’s Court
Backstabbing
Starting a Cult
Orks
Exodites
Dinosaurs
Jokes
Necrontyr Society
Picture Larry David & Richard Lewis for Curb your Enthusiasm spending a millennia just to one up the other. Read/listen to this book. You won’t be disappointed.

Better than Darkness in the Blood…
Revisado: 04-19-23
I can’t help think these writers are forced to hype up all the Primaris “new hot” units.
Much like my title it was just name dropping new units like DitB. Also, as a Blood Angels player who has a FT army. How did all the new recruits just become over zealous and blood crazed in such a short time? Did RG say “ok Dante, put all the bad greyshields with Seth!” You mean to tell me these guys were on the up & up and boy scouts the entire time they were hanging around Big Blue, then in like 2yrs they become blood thirsty a-holes? I don’t think GW or any writer has properly explained how the new Primaris Recruits are getting along as new members of “The Blood”
Character wise, there are 3 characters worth a darn, Micah, Da’ron, and Barachiel’s assistant. No one else I enjoyed in the least except the OG FT’s with Gabriel in the stories beginning. Duma & Barachiel are both self serving butt-heads and the Librarian (in Phobos armor mind you) does next to nothing. The fact they “don’t like having to reinstate the Death Company” when every bit of Flesh Tearers information says they have a LARGE CONTINGENT of DC all the time, and they act shocked?!? And the fight at the end… if you’re new to the hobby and know nothing, you’ll probably enjoy it. If you know the lore and love any of the Sons of Sanguinius, toss this on while you paint but you’re gonna have an issue at parts.
It’s “fine” overall. Acting was good, story had some sweet parts. Little substance with unlikable characters.

Sanguinius is the Great Angel, most beloved of all the primarchs, his mighty exploits celebrated throughout the entire Imperium as the Crusade expands into the void. And yet the origins of his Legion are shrouded in mystery and rumour, his unique physical form is an enigma, and his perilous home world remains off-limits to all but his own secretive people. When a discredited remembrancer arrives with the expeditionary fleets to chronicle the primarch’s deeds, he has to work hard to uncover the truth behind the legends.

I wish we’d have gotten a little more Bel Sepatus or even an interaction with Amit but it was good over all. The ending (even though it was the only way it could end) gave me a reaction which is what a story that speaks to you should do. I thought to hear Keeble in another voice was good too. “The poison and the cure” it makes you think about the little things you get in these stories, like Gabriel Seth and the effect Amit’s reliquary in Devastation of Baal.

The galaxy is in flames. Chaos is in the ascendant across the stars. The Great Rift has split the holdings of the Imperium in twain, isolating entire sectors from the light of Holy Terra. But all hope is not lost. The Primarch Roboute Guilliman has returned from deathless sleep and appointed Commander Dante, lord of the Blood Angels, as Regent and Warden of the newly dubbed Imperium Nihilus. In the Baal system, the shattered holding of the Chapter is being rebuilt, and Dante plans the greatest campaign of his long life, to retake half an empire.

Don’t even…
Revisado: 07-17-22
Dante, Devastation of Baal, The Lost and the Damned… 10/10 each of them all by Guy Haley. This was like GW told him in a meeting “hey we got a new Mephiston model, and Phobos troops we need a story and it’s due at noon!” And it was 11am in the morning. I refuse to believe GH wrote this. The chapter before the last makes 1/3rd of the story a waste. I dunno, this was a “let’s showcase our new toys”. This was not a good story at all and Dante almost seems like a different writer took over for him. They went from the flaw to full on goof vampire. The acting was alright Mephiston seemed a bit over the top but again I blame the writing not the narrator. If you’re the hardest of hardcore Blood Angels fan you’ll be disappointed. If your new to the hobby and lore, maybe you’ll like it. Guy Haley if you ever read this review “C’mon man! What we’re you thinking?!?”
