Soundbooth studio continues their sustained superior performance, enhancing and transforming a great story into a must listen.

If your reading the reviews and haven’t started the series then go ahead and buy the credits to listen to them all. Take your time and enjoy the great story telling as Carl tries to survive the fantasy version of “running man” barefoot in his boxers with his cat princess Donut.

*I would have one starred but the story was amazing until about 6 hours left when the story tanks hard*

The book starts out amazingly well but fails hard by the end. Has the same character development issues as “He who fights with monsters”. Where it focuses solely on the main character and the overall story suffers because of it. The power progression is severely rushed and by the end and it seems like the author was out of creative juice with the main character massively overpowered and obtaining god powers.

To add to the rush there were a ton plot holes, where the main character had the ability and time to see his friends but doesn’t. Which causes the story to suffer since the author tried to make a morals vs ends justify the means argument but fails due to the numerous holes.

The ending was a hot mess and likely a reason the author is working on another project instead of doing a book 2.

Couldn’t stop listening. Great book on the psychological phenomenon of coupling and defaulting to truth. Amazingly journey on how we as individuals and as a society need to be more cognizant of what we say and why, as well as question the environment that allows and perpetuates harmful societal activities.

The production quality of the readers team is fabulous. Helps bring out the stories “Borderland”esque humor and definitely put a smile on your face as you listen to the creative story. Carls voice actor has a hint of the actor who does Putty in Seinfeld and will have you saying his reluctant catchphrase.
