Historia
Molly is determined to get the troubled teens she teaches back on the right path and is convinced a trip to a local prison will show them the consequences of bad behavior. But when an EMP blast knocks out all power across the country, Molly and her five students, along with their former-Marine bus driver, Colton, are locked in with the prisoners with no safe exit. The guards are little help against clever convicts, and when a riot throws everything into chaos, Molly and Colton must find a way to get to freedom with their charges.

Crazy Full on Start to a Series
Revisado: 11-11-22
I wasn’t sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised with how the author handled the EMP, especially having set it in a prison.
I loved each and every one of the characters.
I was all for guard Fox until what he did at the end.
Thankfully Zack was a good guy in the end. Molly, a strong woman, a fantastic teacher, I did love how well written she was and that there’s more to come in the rest of the series.
Poor Laura but what happened to the dog?? That is why I’m diving straight into listening to book 2.
Andrew Tell could narrate anything and I'd enjoy listening to him.
Had to laugh, some of the characters frustrated me but I put that down to how the author is able to write them, and if done well enough then even those that annoy you will be memorable.
While I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review, I ended up purchasing my own audio and ebook copies of this book.

yay yay fast paced and action packed
Revisado: 11-11-22
I’m so glad Jenna stood up to her dad. I loved how fast paced and action packed this story was. I was sad not to read about the guy Santi at the end of book 1.
I do think that anarchy happened too quickly, 1 day? Too soon. Even 3 days would be too soon.
But the plot twist at the very end? Blown away, and now I have to know what happens in the next book.
Okay, this book was well written, it kept my attention and I appreciated the character development.
I loved listening to Andrew Tell, that man's voice is so easy to listen to.
While I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review I did purchase my own copy of the audio book and ebook.

Interesting Take on Leaders
Revisado: 11-11-22
I'm a stickler for finishing a series and the Dark Nations series was no exception.
I felt that the ending was rushed.
I’m glad that Fox got his comeuppance, there’s so much to say but it would only spoil things for people.
As for Alex, that man drove me honkers and if I’d been there I’d likely have told him to get the f out. He was such a selfish man, he was so jealous that he was not the man in charge and he couldn’t hack it. You’ll see what I mean when you get to that part in the book.
There’s so much more that I’d love to know.
What happened with Joe? What happened to the people at the hospital? I have so many questions!
It was well written, I gave it 4 stars since the ending was rushed and I was not left feeling as if the book was resolved.
Andrew Tell has an easy voice to listen to and I enjoyed listening to it - I listened to this series while I was cooking dinner or folding laundry the most, and Andrew and Grace allowed me to feel I was elsewhere.
While I received a free copy of this audiobook via Booksprout in the end I bought my own audio copy and a copy of the ebook. This review is my personal opinion.

Ordinary experiencing Extraordinary
Revisado: 08-28-22
I really enjoyed this series, this family weren't preppers or ex military. They reminded me of people I knew and just goes to show how a simple day of shopping or visiting or even cleaning can change everything with what is a simple power outage.
This was my first foray into Grace Hamilton and I will be seeking out more of her novels after this. I liked the easy writing and the way she brings her characters to life.
As some other reviews have stated they are idiots and I'll agree that I wouldn't want them as part of my group, but I had expected them to be semi prepared. I have health issues and I always remember to take any medications just in case we stay away longer. I know that not everyone does this but if you're travelling one or a few towns over, I mean, who doesn't take a bag with water and snacks at the very least? This is what we do, I guess it's second nature but I find it weird when people don't have something in their cars. You just never know what might happen.
Regardless of that I still liked the story - and the narrator had a lot to do with that.
I enjoyed the narrator, he has a voice that was easy to listen to. I will definitely be looking up other books he has voiced.
I originally received a free copy of this book via Booksprout but after starting I purchased each of the books on kindle and purchased my own copy of the audible title.

It will get your heart racing!
Revisado: 06-01-20
Talk about sitting on the edge of your seat biting your fingernails or gripping your hands together!
Wow wow wow.
Surely that’s not the end! And luckily there is a book seven writing and published. Because now, I need to know.
Let’s just mourn some people however. Such a shame they went out the way they did.
The biggest question has to be what’s happened? Where is she? I need to know!
