Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Harry is so genuine and I hope he gets what he deserves
Revisado: 01-16-23
This book was amazing. Finally getting the true story on so many things. This, along with the Oprah interview and the Netflix docuseries shows that Harry is clearly telling the truth. People who refuse to listen are just bigoted racists. This book was beautifully written. Well descriptive and a true love letter to the family he has now and the family he always wanted. His narration was great. I can listen to him read a grocery list, his voice is just so easy to listen to. I advice everyone to listen or read this book with an open mind. Do not let the press tarnish your mind as it has done so many times.

They say your first kiss should be earned. Mine was stolen by a devil in a masquerade mask under the black Chicago sky. They say the vows you take on your wedding day are sacred. Mine were broken before we left church. They say your heart only beats for one man. Mine split and bled for two rivals who fought for it until the bitter end. I was promised to Angelo Bandini, the heir to one of the most powerful families in the Chicago Outfit. Then taken by Senator Wolfe Keaton, who held my father’s sins over his head to force me into marriage.

Typical enemies to lover
Revisado: 11-28-22
I really liked this book. They start off enemies, gain sexual attraction, and start to find happiness then shit hits the fan over and over again. The narrators are staples amongst audiobooks so the performances were great, very standard for these two, which makes listening very easy. This was very much a traditional enemies to lovers story line. I don’t want to give anything away but I hated two things about this book so I will say spoilers, even though they don’t really give much to the story line, they’re still spoilers. The first thing I hated, which was minor, the ending, so unrealistic. Wolf becomes president of the US…seriously? That is extremely unrealistic. Does the author not see the state of this country? Do they really think a person like wolf, who would do good for this country, would actually become president? This irrationally angered me and I literally said “yeah right” out loud when listening. The second thing, unprotected sex + the typical “you don’t get pregnant from having sex once” + wolf didn’t want kids = obviously she’s going to get pregnant. How predictable can you get. Other than those two things though, this was a easy listen.

There are a few good points and a few interesting facts but this didn’t really do much for me. It’s a good listen because it’s free but I wouldn’t pay for this.

I do anything and everything my King tells me to. But King is demanding. King is dangerous. He wants to hurt me. And there is only one person who can help me run away from King.... Except I don't know if I want to leave him. I don't know if I can. Good pets always obey their master...but what if I want to have two?

50 shades of grey 2.0
Revisado: 08-10-22
This is a DARK romance. The main female lead is weak, young, and impressionable. The male lead is an abuser, groomer, and sadist. King, renames the freshly 18 year old Sapphire, pet. He treats her like his personal sex toy and is constantly trying to break her and punish her, mostly for things that HE told her to do. That being said, this book was well written and very spicy. There was something mentioned a few times about how King, would not be able to keep Sapphire and how things would end, but it wasn’t revealed until the end, and it made my mouth literally drop open. King breaks her down, but she gets rebuild and as a feminist, that was a joy to see. If you don’t like dark romances, my first few lines are reason enough to stay away, but if you like dark romance, this is 1000% worth a read.

Not my cup of tea but still good
Revisado: 07-15-22
This book was good but, I had anxiety listen to it. The writing was good, character development was good, narration was good, and plot was good. My issue was there were multiple times where I just wanted the main character to come clean, and she didn’t. I had stories where a misunderstanding is resulting in conflict and that happened here. If you don’t mind the “edge of your seat” feeling, this book is for you. I don’t mind a few of those moments but the whole plot was based off of that.

Gracie Reed is doing just fine. Sure, she was fired by her overly “friendly” boss, and yes, she still hasn’t gotten her mother into the nursing home of their dreams, but she’s healthy, she’s (somewhat) happy, and she’s (mostly) holding it all together. But when a mysterious SUV pulls up beside her, revealing Chinese cinema's golden couple Wei Fangli and Sam Yao, Gracie’s world is turned on its head. The famous actress has a proposition: Due to their uncanny resemblance, Fangli wants Gracie to be her stand-in.

This was near perfect!
Revisado: 07-13-22
I listen and read a lot of books, and this one is one I will come back to time and time again. The narration was perfect! I love Pippa. She was amazing in Hamilton and now I know her speaking voice is just as amazing as her singing voice. I want more books by her! As for the writing, it was great! This being a romance, which is my go-to books, I already knew I’d like it, but this was so special. The only part I didn’t like was the intimate scenes were assumed and not written out. No need to go 50 shades of grey in depth but it would have been nice to get a little more than one sentence saying it happened. Other than that though, this was well written, unique story, great character development, and amazing narration. Highly recommend!

I have exactly 5 hours and 10 minutes to get from Boston to New York City or the professional opportunity of a lifetime disappears. My only travel option? The second to last seat on a discount bus. Across from the bathroom. Wearing last night’s clothes (don’t ask). All worth it if I can make it in time.

Cringy at times
Revisado: 05-29-22
Overall, this story was great, and I love anything with Zachary Webber. But, the multiple narrators, though at times was great, was cringe at times. To write a book to have multiple narrators talk to each other, you have to have specific things written since we aren’t in their minds. Doing this resulted in some times where the writing wasn’t organic and the conversation was cringe. Overall though, this was an enjoyable book and I would recommend it.

Much better than I thought
Revisado: 04-26-22
So I heard about this on tiktok and knew it was like an “incest kink” but it was getting good reviews so I figured I’d try it. I understand the good reviews. I won’t spoil anything but the uncle and his sons are not blood, it’s her fathers stepbrother who they didn’t have contact with. So it’s not as creepy as I initially thought. In the real world it would be considered grooming and extremely taboo, but in book world, it’s romantic and a slow burn. They don’t have more than a few make out sessions until she turns 18. There are a couple of moments that were truly intense and a lot even for an avid spicy book person like myself, but overall this is great. And it ends very satisfying. The subplot was kinda predictable but still enjoyable. Overall, highly recommend this book, unless you don’t like extremely spicy scenes.

Revisado: 03-24-22
I did not see this book was only 57 minutes. Thank goodness I did not pay any money for this. It had so much potential but it was just too short! They go from being strangers, to having sex, to being in a relationship when he literally said he can’t do that. This book could have been great if it were more in-depth. Narration was good. Worth a listen if it’s free but don’t spend money on it!

So excited bc of booktok and so disappointed
Revisado: 03-14-22
So, I first heard about this narrator from booktok. I was like “omg this voice is amazing” then I saw this book. Thought I’d give it a try. I was so disappointed. The narration was horrible. He whispered basically the whole time which resulted in me having to play this at full volume! The parts he wasn’t whispering were nice so maybe this was one of his first books? And the book itself, the plot was so basic. Woman is writing a story on this gamer dude and they decide to have a night of hot sex. It’s extremely misogynistic and the writing isn’t good. I honestly would not have wasted my time if I read reviews before listening. Oh, and I just learned about drama regarding this author and narrator, apparently the author plagiarized stuff from someone the narrator records for and its just a big mess. Don’t support this author.
