Historia
At the conclusion of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy tumble into a pit leading straight to the Underworld. The other five demigods have to put aside their grief and follow Percy's instructions to find the mortal side of the Doors of Death. If they can fight their way through the Gaea's forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors from both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape?

Narrator
Revisado: 07-18-16
Apparently, anyone is allowed to narrate books these days. I don't like when narrators are switched, but especially not when they are replaced by someone so awful. Every time a word ends with an "s" i cringe due to the narrator drawing out the "s." He sounds like a valley girl 99% of the time and he clearly didn't listen to the previous narrator. Leo's accent is completely gone/different. Did he even try?

I am an adult and I enjoyed it. It was cute and fun. You don't have to be a child to read younger books, you just have to enjoy a good story and still have an imagination. But Audible where is the next installment?

Why not Ari Graynor or Natalie Moore ???
Revisado: 08-08-14
If you’ve listened to books by Cassandra Clare before, how does this one compare?
Ari Graynor was great narrating City of Bones. Natalie Moore was amazing narrating City of Ashes and City of Glass. This book and the last two have suffered due to poor narration because someone is clearly star-struck. Just because you can act doesn't mean you can narrate. I couldn't tell who was talking half the time. No distinct voices for characters. AWFUL!!!!
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Jason Dohring and Sophie Turner ?
Ari Graynor or Natalie Moore!! The originals!!!!

Historia
There's Jonathan, lonely, introspective, and unsure of himself; and Bobby, hip, dark, and inarticulate. In New York after college, Bobby moves in with Jonathan and his roommate, Clare, a veteran of the city's erotic wars. Bobby and Clare fall in love, scuttling the plans of Jonathan, who is gay, to father Clare's child. Then, when Clare and Bobby have a baby, the three move to a small house upstate to raise "their" child together and, with an odd friend, Alice, create a new kind of family.

This book did stuff to my heart.
Revisado: 05-05-11
There are books you don’t like, books you like, books you love & then there are the books you fall completely in love with. The latter is where I’d place this book for me. Never have I come across a book so realistic yet captivating. I can see these characters so clearly in my mind. I can believe everything that’s happening. Jonathan, Bobby, & Claire present an unconventional way of living that just felt so real to me. This book will not be for everyone but, you know, I kind of love that about it. The story stays strong from it’s beginning to it’s beautiful ending.
The audiobook itself is amazing. Read so perfectly by the four narrators.

Based on TV show not the book
Revisado: 12-10-10
So, I was nearly finished with this book when I started to get a bit confused. The events in this book are different from what we were told in the first Vampire Diaries book. Only to realize that this book is based off the TV series and not (as I thought) the book. It was still good though. And if you're a fan of the TV series then definitely check it out. I'm not sorry I read it, just confused. Enjoy. Also, Kevin T. Collins is a great narrator.

refreshingly unique
Revisado: 06-10-10
Beautiful Creatures was unlike any other book I've read. It had so many twists, turns, and surprises that it was impossible to guess anything right. Just when I think i've figured something out I get thrown a curve. And that is so refreshing. It's mind boggling in the best way. YA fantasy stories don't usually take place in the South, but this book was spot on. The audiobook was amazing. It was performed unlike any other audiobook I've heard. It comes complete with rain sounds, singing, & much more.

For anyone who wants more 10th & Rose
Revisado: 05-26-10
I loved this book. It was clever and fun with some very sweet moments between The Doctor and Rose. Besides who wouldn't want to hear David Tennant talk for nearly 2 & 1/2 hours? You don't have to worry about this story going against cannon or being unfaithful to the Doctor Who series. I too enjoyed the author interview at the end. I'm a huge Doctor Who fan and this was my first Doctor Who audiobook and I'm so glad I gave it a listen.

Best VA book yet!
Revisado: 05-24-10
I loved this book. Blood Promise bored me a bit but Spirit Bound more then made up for it. Full of surprises, twists, a love triangle & even a couple of cliffhangers. Rose Hathaway is a kick-butt narrator and Adrian Iashkov can make a girl swoon. You're left wanting the next (and last) book. The narrator was good, not as good as Khristine Hvam but good.

I can't even think of what to say that would be worthy enough for this book. It was amazing. It's funny, sad, and thought-provoking. A true to life coming of age tale about learning to be happy with who you are. If you want to discover a little about yourself and your relationships with the people around you or just want to laugh out loud then have a go.

Revisado: 05-21-10
I loved the Percy Jackson series so I knew this would be good. But I didn't know just how good it would be. Turns out it was full of surprises and twists that keeps you guessing until the very last page. Just like with the Percy Jackson series you get a refresher course in & learn more about mythology; this time Egyptian. Both Carter & Sadie Kane are fantastic main characters. Both strong and smart for their ages of 14 and 12 without being unrealistic. The Red Pyramid is not only captivating but hilarious too. You shut the book wanting more. This is definitely a book for all ages.
