When the pandemic started I returned to reading classics, and this book by F. Scott Fitzgerald was the first on my list. Upon reading I really wondered how to analyse and perceive it the right way. I wish I were more devoted to literature during school, when videogames and TV replaced it in my life. Now my attention span is even shorter due to the Internet. I'm afraid to lose the ability to concentrate on fiction, so being able to understand literature is ever important today.
The first chapters highlight the following topics: Historical Context, Genre, Themes, Structure, Form, and Characters.
Then the unabridged book begins, chapter by chapter, with a short summary after each retelling the most important events to make sure you got it right.
Not necessarily to pass an exam, but rather to be literary educated and use this knowledge to analyse other novels, to retain critical thinking, the Penguin Studying Classics series is here to help. It's worth to check out other books, such as Studying Wuthering Heights, Dracula, and Tess of the D’Urbervilles. I hope more classics will be added to this series in future.

The production quality of this audiobook is astonishing. Included are adapted narrations of "Sense and Sensibility", "Pride & Prejudice", "Mansfield Park", "Emma", "Northanger Abbey", "Persuasion", that are voiced by well-known theatre actors with proper character depth. There is also a musical introduction to every scene and ambient sounds in the background of the dialogue scenes that create the right atmosphere. A fantastic way to experience Jane Austin this way!

Emma Bunton is an angel of positivity. Her music always makes me happy and here she shares her experience of being a mom. The narration is filled with love, and makes me smile. Her husband Jade also makes an appearance and shares his thoughts of being a father. Emma narrates most of the chapters herself, while Kristin Atherton provides research data on childbirth. This book inspires to create a family, provides helpful advice to young parents and reassures that having children is totally manageable and worthy!

"The Candy House" (8/10) is a science fiction novel by Jennifer Egan. It is a set of interconnected stories of different characters, who are related to the main protagonists of a companion novel, "A Visit From a Goon Squad" (9/10). The stories are moving, especially of those who desperately need love and wreck their lives as a result of not having enough of it.
This book is about family, how to be it's part no matter who you are. Also it's about new technology that brings back memories and allows to relive them at a price of sharing your memories online. The past cannot be changed, however. Everyone pays for their own choices in life, but there is always hope for the future.
The audiobook narration is fantastic. Chapters are voiced by different actors, who match the characters well.
