Historia
My Big TOE, written by a nuclear physicist in the language of contemporary culture, unifies science and philosophy, physics and metaphysics, mind and matter, purpose and meaning, the normal and the paranormal. The entirety of human experience (mind, body, and spirit) including both our objective and subjective worlds is brought together under one seamless scientific understanding. Section 5 presents the formal reality model in detail while Section 6 provides the wrap-up that puts everything discussed into an easily understood perspective.

So good
Revisado: 04-18-25
Thank you Uncle Tom! Clearly there are no words for this work. I just finished listening to this while sitting under a tree staring at a shadow of it on a wall. Somehow, the tree, the shadow of the tree and my perception of it feels evolved. The journey this book took me through is so remarkable….

Mind Blowing 🤯🤯

This truly is so important. Open minded skepticism at its finest. So helpful to get out of my own way of thinking. Incredibly beneficial in letting go of thinking inefficiently. Can’t wait for book 2!

Historia
One thousand years ago in the valley of Kashmir, a great Tantric master named Ksemaraja wrote his masterpiece: the Pratyabhijna-hrdaya, which means "The Essence of the Recognition Philosophy" - recognition, that is, of oneself as a direct expression of the universal divine Consciousness. Recognition also that this Consciousness is, in truth, all that exists, and that its five fundamental powers of awareness, enjoyment, willing, knowing, and acting are the sacred endowments of every sentient being.

Puts Everything in it’s Right Place

I had finished Tantra Illuminated and was so enthralled I jumped right into this one. What a journey! After years of studying yoga philosophy this book has brought it all into absolute clarity. I am so grateful for the work Christopher has put into this field. I highly recommend listening to this book and am starting it over again now. It is so amazing!

Historia
In 1985, Anthony Ray Hinton was arrested and charged with two counts of capital murder in Alabama. Stunned, confused, and only 29 years old, Hinton knew that it was a case of mistaken identity and believed that the truth would prove his innocence and ultimately set him free. But with an incompetent defense attorney and a different system of justice for a poor black man in the South, Hinton was sentenced to death by electrocution. He spent his first three years on Death Row at Holman State Prison in despairing silence.

Historia
But It’s Your Family is a remarkable account of what it means to cut ties to toxic family abuse and thrive in the aftermath. Loving someone doesn’t always mean having a relationship with them, just like forgiveness doesn’t always mean reconciliation. Reconciling, in many cases, only sets people up for more abuse. A significant part of healing comes with accepting that this is a part of life; there are some relationships that are so poisonous that they destroy one’s ability to be healthy and function best.

Thank you so much Dr. Campbell. Just before the holidays I was dreading how I was going to survive my family dynamic. This book helped me so much. Your honesty in telling your story backed with so many years helping others is remarkable. It is so encouraging to know it is possible to navigate toxic family abuse and see a path forward for healing. From the bottom of my heart…Thank You.

Historia
A Nobel Peace Prize recipient beatified by the Catholic Church in 2003, Mother Teresa of Calcutta was celebrated by heads of state and adored by millions for her work on behalf of the poor. In his measured critique, Hitchens asks only that Mother Teresa's reputation be judged by her actions - not the other way around. With characteristic élan and rhetorical dexterity, Hitchens eviscerates the fawning cult of Teresa, recasting the Albanian missionary as a spurious, despotic, and megalomaniacal operative.

The Story I Never Knew
Revisado: 12-24-24
Growing up Catholic I heard about the righteousness of Mother Theresa. This book has opened my eyes to the reality behind the non sense I was indoctrinated in as a child. This book helps me to unravel the absurdities and see reality as it is. Thank you Hitch!!

Over the course of his 60 years, Christopher Hitchens has been a citizen of both the United States and the United Kingdom. He has been both a socialist opposed to the war in Vietnam and a supporter of the U.S. war against Islamic extremism in Iraq. He has been both a foreign correspondent in some of the world's most dangerous places and a legendary bon vivant with an unquenchable thirst for alcohol and literature.

Enough Already: Time to End the War on Terrorism is a masterly history of these chaotic, tragic and above all futile conflicts, ranging with his usual excoriating accuracy from Mali to Pakistan, from Iraq to Yemen by way of Syria and Libya. Millions are dead, disabled or languish desperately far from their homes as the direct result of our blunders, bewilderment and outright malicious stupidity.

A very important book for our current reality
Revisado: 09-29-24
Mr Horton, thank you! The time and energy you have put into this is greatly appreciated. I learned more than I hoped. While difficult to process, due to the deep introspect this subject requires, it is worth the process. Wow! It feels like a paradox to say how good this book is because the atrocity is so severe. Yet if we aren’t willing to take a hard look at our society the way this subject requires we will never grow to the place America originally intended. Thank you for standing for what America needs in these times.

Historia
Jean McConville's abduction was one of the most notorious episodes of the vicious conflict known as The Troubles. Everyone in the neighborhood knew the I.R.A. was responsible. But in a climate of fear and paranoia, no one would speak of it. In 2003, five years after an accord brought an uneasy peace to Northern Ireland, a set of human bones was discovered on a beach. McConville's children knew it was their mother when they were told a blue safety pin was attached to the dress--with so many kids, she had always kept it handy for diapers or ripped clothes.

Historia
Moving from the Paleolithic age to the present, Karen Armstrong details the great lengths to which humankind has gone in order to experience a sacred reality that it called by many names, such as God, Brahman, Nirvana, Allah, or Dao. Focusing especially on Christianity but including Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Chinese spiritualities, Armstrong examines the diminished impulse toward religion in our own time, when a significant number of people either want nothing to do with God or question the efficacy of faith. Why has God become unbelievable?

Revisado: 06-26-24
This book came to me at a time when I needed it most. Ms Armstrong delivers such a beautiful historical account that I somehow feel like it pulled me out of my own ‘dark night of the soul.’ Whether theist or atheist this book is absolute critical for guidance on the next step forward for humanity. Thank you Karen!
