I love it when the narrator does an amazing job with an equally amazing book! It is a complete win-win.
Irina does it again with her genius way of blending the past with the present in an intriguing tale.

When it comes to biographies, I find them so fascinating but in audiobook form, it has to be brought to life for me with the narration or I'm lost to it and find it too easy to give up.
Aubrey really tells the story and brings it to life.
The story is intriguing, compelling, and definitely worth a listen. Note: I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

Never read a historical thriller like this!

I really enjoyed the characters in this story who I found so well written - especially quirky Doctor Oldfield.
I'm so intrigued by the creativity of Tony Moyle and hope he continues in this same fashion.
Most historical books seem rather 'stuffy' to me, but not so in this case. I found the story compelling and was highly entertained through the entire book.

A Must Read!

Although it was slightly slow to start, the book gripped me up and I couldn't stop listening.
This is just the perfect type of book for your zombie warfare fans. The storyline is EXCELLENT. It is very well written and the narration is SUBLIME.
Be prepared for entertainment!

Fun story but narration is hit and miss.....

I loved the story and it kept me at my seat's age, just wanting more!
I do have mixed feelings about the narrator, so for those who are picky be warned that she may bother some. Her voice is very child-like which I thought would really bug me, but it is very pleasant. She does a great job with distinct voices, but a few things are kind of annoying about her narration. The men all sound kind of fake. Also a lot of the female characters have that bratty, sort of 'valley girl' tone that can be a little annoying. Also at times, she is a little overly dramatic - feels a little like overacting to me.

Terrible narration makes it horrible

I'm so bummed that I couldn't finish the book because the content is amazing but the narration completely ruins it for me. I really tried to stick to it, because again the content is top-notch and very thrilling but since it is being told in such a non-pleasing way, you just can't stick with it.
