A very sad story of the abuse handed to so many.

Well written, and very hard to listen to. The descriptions and character events come alave in your mind. You can feel the pain and anguish suffered by the abused. A great story that needed to be told.

If you could sum up Flame in the Dark in three words, what would they be?
Riveting, non-predictable, believable.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Nell-Suga...of course. She is a woman of many and varied talents. It's so refreshing to have a heroine with brains, logic, and womanly traits....non-trampy
Which scene was your favorite?
The epilogue. I loved it when they live happy ever after...even the vampire tree.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, but there were still enough places where you could comfortably stop.
Any additional comments?
I sure hope there is more to this series. I can't wait to see what happens with Mud.

loved this book. As an audible book it is the best read that there is. There were so many parts where I drove around and did something twice just so I could get to the end of the chapter. Great job on the characters, very descriptive plot not predictable but not unpredictable. Good job Ms Myers can't wait for the next one.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
If you enjoy graphic sex scenes, this is for you. Although the story line is good, the highly detailed and frequent sexual encounters become redundant after the third telling. I guess as I get older, I'm more into the action vs. the "action".
What was most disappointing about J.R. Ward’s story?
The frequency of very graphic and repetitive sex.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
Narrator was good.

Rowl...because he has such a catitude.
What about Euan Morton’s performance did you like?
The listen was so entertaining, I didn't want to stop. He was able to make you believe that there were different people for each character.

No, I wanted to have it go on and on and on. I was really sad when I got to the end.

I love Anne Bishop. I love every series of books that she has written this is going to be another fantastic one that I can't wait to read/listen. Although Ms Bishop is
writes science fantasy every character she develops has such a humanistic personality that you can identify with all of them. I won't tell you which ones I want to reach out and pet or run my fingers through their fur. I can't wait to find out how all the rest is going to develop. Another great job Ms Bishop I can't wait.
