Review:
This isn't the first book I have read by this author. They Went Left was the first one I read. I read this one with a group of people. I really enjoyed it very much. It was as emotionally gripping. Once I realized she was the author of They Went Left, I totally understood that. I actually learned a lot about the time period this is set in. It's been a year, so I can't really remember the names, but I remember the story itself. I remember the woman who was looking for a girl for a person she made deliveries to. She was part of a resistance group. The whole group was so brave. Especially the one that was gay and in a relationship in secret. I recommend this book. I plan to read other books by this author as well.

Review:
When I first got this book, I was eager to read it. I am always wanting to learn as much about history and other countries as I can. I did have concerns about it going over my head. I was convinced I'd have to do a lot of research and ask a friend of mine many questions to fully understand. I was wrong. This book was very easy to follow along and understand. I actually hope to read it again to make notes and annotations on parts that really jump out at me. I do recommend this book to anybody that has an interest in history and nonfiction books. It's really good and well worth the read.

Review:
I have read other books by this author that I really loved. I really enjoyed them very much. I'm not going to lie, I was really nervous to get into this book. I worried for no reason. This book was just as good as the series that I read and loved. Actually, I think it might have been better. I'm so looking forward to reading the sequel to this book! I was a bit confused at the beginning. I was thinking that part of it was in the past. I mean technically it was, but I am referring to like fifty or more years in the past. Not a decade or so. That's a me thing not a bad writing thing. This author has a wonderful writing style. I will definitely be buying other books from her in the future.

Review:
This story is very dark, but it's very alluring. I enjoyed every moment of it. I got the book from Owlcrate. This month was the readalong for it. I'm glad that I subscribed to Owlcrate. If I didn't, I wouldn't have found as many wonderful books as I have. This book being one of them. This book was intense as well. I both predicted and was blown away by all the twists. There were things I predicted and things I didn't. Even the things I predicted came as a shock because it was different than what I predicted! This book is definitely worth the read. Please keep in mind that it is a bit dark.

I don't understand why it's over! What am I going to do now? I think the only way to cure my broken heart is to read the Paranormal of Avynwood series all over again! If you want a series and trilogy that will suck you in and leave you aching to get back into that world, these are the books for you!

Historia
The pack war was drawing closer, and Ariane found herself at a crossroad amid the chaos that was her life. Which road should she follow? One gave her a chance at normalcy, while the other threw her deeper into turmoil. She had new powers, a shifter for a boyfriend, and blood on her hands. There was also the lone wolf who had been cast out and sought solace with Ari as he fought to return home. This wasn't how she thought her life would play out. Nevertheless, a decision had to be made.

Wow
Revisado: 04-13-22
I love the fact that there was more story packed into this one. I'm still very glad that I read the series before I read the trilogy. Even though the trilogy should have been read first. I don't think I would have liked the characters I love half as much if I read it the proper way! That would have been sad!

So I have to be completely honest. I read the Paranormals of Avynwood before I read this trilogy. I didn't know about the trilogy to be honest. I'm kind of glad that I read the series first. Yes, it spoiled a lot of the trilogy for me. However, I love Ari so so so so much and I think if I had read this first I would have found her annoying at the beginning. Just saying. MAJOR CLIFFHANGER!!!!

Review:
Story: I really enjoyed this story. It was a very quick read. Personally, I would have liked to see it longer. However, I do understand that this is a children's book. It's understandably short. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
Characters: I got a little confused with all of the character names. I also didn't really connect with any of them if I'm being honest. That isn't to say that I didn't like them. I just didn't find them very relatable to me. I also feel like a few of the characters were just a little two-dimensional.
Critiques: None
Narration: It was pretty great. Nothing really memorable stands out to me either good or bad.
Final Thoughts: I wasn't expecting to really get sucked into this book the way I did. I really enjoyed it very much. I don't know when I'll be able to get to the rest of the series. I am definitely looking forward to it though.

Historia
In Jasper Fforde's Great Britain, circa 1985, time travel is routine, cloning is a reality (dodos are the resurrected pet of choice), and literature is taken very, very seriously. England is a virtual police state where an aunt can get lost (literally) in a Wordsworth poem and forging Byronic verse is a punishable offense. All this is business as usual for Thursday Next, renowned Special Operative in literary detection.
