Super slow and boring.

Seriously, I can’t see how there is a whole series of these books. It only just started to get interesting in the last hour. I tried and persisted with this books simply because I didn’t have anything else lined but but this was borderline for a credit refund. There is just no depth. The story focuses only on the superficial parts and builds to a very lackluster ending. Will not by buying the next in the series or any others by this author or narrator. The narration was dull and monotone. There are better options out there.

A beautiful story of family and life

This book was an unexpected treasure. I really loved every bit of it. Great characters and a fascinating, well thought out web of storylines that are masterfully woven in and out of this family. Well worth the credit!

A slow burn but totally worth it.

Really love this series. Especially the strong female leads. But also, it’s a nice change from science lead sci-fi. There is more emotion and more character development in these books than the usually sci-fi. Going to be devo when the series ends.

Just lacking in ommph. Story chopped and changed so often and with no reason or need. Very frustrating to listen too and really never had enough character development to make you care what was happening. Overall, disappointing and won’t be checking out any more from this author. Was not for me

Less step by step, more story.

Character development and storyline is really lacking in this book. So disappointed. Writer needs to put more effort in developing the characters and the storyline. Reader could do with more oomph too. Only thing this book was good for before I gave up, going to sleep. Asking for my credit back on this one unfortunately

Slow to start but truly epic and oh so entertaining!!

Was on the verge of returning this book but finally, it all came together and the awesomeness began. I am so so glad this is a series. I have a feeling I am really going to enjoy these! Well worth pushing through those first few hours at the beginning to have the back story in place.
R C Bray brings every character to life as always.
