I loved this book. The theme was a wonderful concept- facing one’s fears with the help of good friends.

Cherry Jones did a wonderful job reading this book! Through descriptive language, you feel like you are crawling right in to the world of the farming family of Almanzo Wilder in the 1860’s.

The narrator did a beautiful job reading the story in so many English accents. The Secret Garden is a beautiful story of the transformation that can take place in people when they permit positive thoughts to overtake the darkness. It is a story about friendship, the beauty of nature, sweet animal creatures, healing, magic/miracles, and good secrets.

This book is a pandemic thriller and a spiritual journey/battle all rolled in to one. It is one of the best stories I have ever read. It speaks so much more so to the year 2021 than the year 1990, leaving me wondering if Stephen King has prophetic awareness.:) Some of the storylines can be darker and more disturbing than I would choose to depict, but that is the only negative thing I can say about The Stand. Very few stories change lives at this level. This one will leave those searching for meaning regarding the battle between forces of good and evil, particularly in a Christian context, forever changed.
