I loved everything about this story! Malik’s story is such an important story to be told!
It was dynamic, emotional and compelling! It made me laugh, cry, and speak back to the characters! It was laced with real life struggles with the perfect amount of magic and supernatural elements!

This latest installment of the epic tale of Gus, the Mountain Man was absolutely captivating!
From beginning to end, I hung on every word! The things that Gus experiences facing The Leather are full of terrifying surprises! I absolutely HATE The Leather, which is a testimony to how well developed the characters Mr. Blackmore created!
I laughed out loud! I talked back to the book! I sat on the edge of my seat! This story is emotionally charged, dynamically written and worth every second! My only criticism is that the book ended!
This has been an amazing reading experience and a stellar addition to the series! Truly hoping for a book 8!

I felt so many emotions while listening to this book! I laughed out loud! I yelled at the characters! I sat on the edge of my seat! This book is so good! Once again, the tales of Gus and Collie didn’t disappoint! This installment of the series was even more dynamic than the last one, which was no small task! I really enjoyed the new characters and really look forward to seeing where the next book will lead us! Highly recommend!

From start to finish, this chapter of Gus’s saga had me on the edge of my seat! With great new characters and heart stopping action, the author has really done an amazing job of keeping the story alive! Many times throughout the story I talked back to the characters and clutched my covers at the challenges! This book was so good! Highly recommended! Can’t wait to start the next one!
