This was my least favorite Koontz story. After “A Big Little Life “ and “Watchers” it is difficult for me to find a better story. I’m happy that you experienced Trixie’s life with her, and thank you for sharing some of that with us.

And thanks to Audible I have enjoyed many great reads. Only 3 books were so enjoyable to me that I read them a second time. A Big Little Life is one of those. Dogs are literally my life- I have trained them with kindness for nearly 20 years. I’ve been taught the science and admittedly have spouted this information to others. Over the past decade however I have come to agree with Koontz about the true nature of some dogs. He is correct- we know little about the wonders and complexities of their behavior. They are far more intelligent than the credit for which they are given.

I could not give this book more than 3 stars because too many innocent dogs were shot. It’s too sad. Just stick to killing the bad people please!
