What Fun!
Revisado: 08-08-17
Would you consider the audio edition of Curse of the Pogo Stick to be better than the print version?
Yes. I love to listen and play games on my phone. This book had me laughing.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
I never knew what was going to happen next. I loved how the book was set at a time and place in history that had relevance to my childhood, that is post Vietnam war Laos.
What does Clive Chafer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He narrated the book well. He enunciated every word with aplomb.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes. Dr. Siri's vision in the Hmong village.
Any additional comments?
I thought his book was enlightening and very funny.

I was held to this story from beginning to end. I didn't want to to end at all. I am now going to read every book by this author.

Provoking in many ways
Revisado: 12-12-10
This book weaved its way through my life at a time when I was trying to tie loose ends of my life together. A left incomplete doctorate, my faith in miracles, teaching English to Thai students, and I could go on. Mr. Berlinski helped me to put these pieces together and come away with a greater faith in Christ. Although his missionaries weren't perfect, they were real. His social scientists were conflicted in ways they couldn't change no matter how hard they tried.
Although this story is fictional, Mr. Berlinski has melded together his non-fictional experiences into a masterpiece that shows how real people deal with the hand we've been dealt and create lives for themselves that are either trapped by their circumstances, or transcend them.

Incredible
Revisado: 03-24-08
This book, written by 10 or 12 thriller writers is an amazing feat. That each of these authors could receive the manuscript, in turn, and have no other communication with the other authors as they write their part, is pretty incredible.
The book is consistent, believeable and exciting. It was a pleasure to read this book.
