Great Course in the History of Lindon
Revisado: 08-09-24
I admire the exhaustive research that went into this fine book. It included the background of Rome and its inclusion in Europe and of what would become today’s London. Despite its length, the book made the story palatable, easy to learn from and follow. It’s a long read/listen but, worth every minute, highly recommended.

Narrator is very good, a woman narrator might have made it better. The story is fast, dialogue is snappy. Perhaps I lost site of all charters because I listened to the story in several sittings doing other things. Overall, I enjoyed this book. I must have since I own all eight. Very enjoyable. Recommend it.

Financial freedom means a lot to you and that's why you work hard for your success. But maybe you still aren't enjoying the financial prosperity you'd like. Perhaps you tell yourself that money isn't really that important and unconsciously hinder the flow of money. Or you even have a bad conscience about earning lots of money.

Camel club may still be around...
Revisado: 08-13-14
What did you love best about Bullseye?
Spoiler alert....if you have not read the last of the trilogy stop reading....I may be off on my time clock but, stone may still be around. Finn is back, Annabelle with all her cash is here too. Finally, all those old fa*ts can start living in a custom I want them to. After kicking so much arse, they deserve it. Excellent short story, I'm looking for more. I fully expect Annabelle, Finn and the club to move this forward. Baldacci, the rose just about lost it's bloom. I'm done with our club doing all the work, living in semi-acceptable quarters.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes. Read above.
What about Ron McLarty’s performance did you like?
Everything.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, It was a short story.
Any additional comments?
Suspend disbelief, enjoy it. Dallas dream act, bring back the team with young Finn and Annabelle starting a new series--stone and the gang... Glad baldacci isn't moving closer to some authors who pontificate about the reality of our world, boring the heck out of me....I can always buy or listen to a newspaper for that.

Historia
Academy Award nominee Samuel L. Jackson ( Pulp Fiction) rocks this mock bedtime story, capturing a hilarious range of emotions as the voice of a father struggling to get his child to sleep. Go the F**k to Sleep is a bedtime book for parents who live in the real world, where a few snoozing kitties and cutesy rhymes don’t always send a toddler sailing blissfully off to dreamland.

In The Four Agreements, a New York Times best seller for over seven years, don Miguel Ruiz revealed how the process of our education, or “domestication,” can make us forget the wisdom we were born with. Throughout our lives, we make many agreements that go against ourselves and create needless suffering.

worth a listen
Revisado: 04-23-13
Where does The Fifth Agreement rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
on the top shelf with my favorite books. a disconcerting book that asked me to look at a lot of old beliefs that when honestly examined, without rancor toward anyone, question what i choose to accept as reality. refreshing and liberating. i feel the author turned himself inside out to be as authentic a human being as possible, share that valuable experience and knowledge and not to be missed.
What other book might you compare The Fifth Agreement to and why?
the new testament of the bible and autobiography of a yogi because they are simple, unique and respectful of other people's beliefs, cultures and religions. i find these three books helpful in resolving the conflicts that accompany being a human beling and bring about a peace that is a divine right when you're willing to be that brave...i'm still trying!
Have you listened to any of Peter Coyote’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
yes. his narration of the four agreements. i found his performance to be excellent.
What insight do you think you’ll apply from The Fifth Agreement?
i'm not telling...
Any additional comments?
i enjoyed and gained something very valluable from both of these books.

Well researched, written and narrated.
Revisado: 04-04-13
What did you love best about The House of Mondavi?
ms. siler did an excellent job of researching and writting this book. As did mr. skla in narrating it. A book for anyone interested in California's history re wineries and the mondavi family, an integral part, quite generous in spirit, despite family squabbles, like the rest of us, in that process.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The House of Mondavi?
when a seaoned mondavi executive was confronted by a young mondavi kid saying in jest...i think i'll keep you all...similar to when young prince harry said...look at all the peasants, when he was 3 yrs old....the exec said...i'd like to take him out back and beat the shit out him....it was priceless.
Which scene was your favorite?
every aspect of the lovely scenary that accomplies a book about vineyards.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
my reaction to this book is that i found it be an excellent selection and couldn't recommend it more highly.
