Historia
Jada Pinkett Smith was living what many would view as a fairy-tale of Hollywood success. But appearances can be deceiving, and as she felt more and more separated from her sense of self, emotional turmoil took hold. Sparing no detail, Worthy chronicles her life.

Intriguing
Revisado: 10-29-23
JPS has lived many lifetimes and the insight she shows here is compelling. I love how unapologetically her she is. She definitely does things her way, and while that may not be what others want for her or themselves, bump it, she’s true to her instincts. The book didn’t make me like her more or less, just helped me understand where she’s coming from. And for that, I like her more

Interesting
Revisado: 03-18-22
It’s very long, entertaining and honest accounting of his life. I didn’t realize just how much he has accomplished. I found it interesting and engaging the flow of his storytelling felt intimate and informational.

Historia
Alyssa Milano, actress and activist, delivers here a collection of powerful personal essays that get to the heart of her life, career, and all-out humanitarianism. These essays are unvarnished and elegant, funny and heartbreaking, and utterly real. A timely book that shows in almost real time the importance of taking care of others, it also gives a gut-punch-level wake-up call in an era where the noise is a distraction from what really needs to happen, if we want to live in a better world.

Very thought provoking
Revisado: 12-18-21
I enjoyed this book more than the three stars I gave it but only because what I thought I was going to be listening to was much fluffier than what I did. I never knew the passion and activism that Ms Milano espoused here. And that made this an enjoyable book to me. However, I was expecting some light listening, and the headiness of this audible lost it one star for me.

Historia
The Indignities of Being a Woman candidly traces the history of womanhood and investigates how much things have really changed for womankind. By carefully x-raying areas such as body image, marriage, mental illness, fashion, and politics, this audiobook examines what it was like to be a woman in the past versus what it’s like now, when women are constantly told equality between the sexes exists but reality proves otherwise.

Important and Enjoyable
Revisado: 09-22-21
The information and presentation were both top notch. Humor is used perfectly, not to mask, but to underscore the absurdity of some of the ideas reflected. A definite must read
