Complex and satisfying

I really like this author! She does an incredible job of creating what appear to be to be disparate events - and weaving them together, ultimately providing a satisfying ending. There’s mystery, some PG romance, and a moral to the tale. And given that Savich and Sherlock are a constant, you start the story with context - which immediately engages you. This story has a particularly thought provoking ending - and is definitely worth the read!

Genuine - and Wonderful!

As the grandmother of a child born through surrogacy, representing my son’s husband’s sperm - and my daughter’s egg - so that this loving gay couple could have a child related to both of them, I have experienced the selfless love of the surrogate who gave my granddaughter life. Of course, this book is a love story too 😍, but the underlying story of what it takes to be a surrogate - and the uncounted sacrifices (physically and emotionally) are real. Our surrogate was in fact a college friend of my son’s - and she has continued to have a role in their lives (as she manages her life with her husband and 2 children). It’s a beautiful story - as is this book.

The best HUMOR!

I love the internal dialogue that Anna has with herself. I can identify! And the big family - all the personalities make these books fun! Add in the madcap mysteries and a bit of romance throughout …. These books are simply a great escape, that leave you smiling.

Best combo of author & narrator!!

I love the every day humor that is part of every Lucy Score book! (I mean - I’ve THOUGHT those things - but never said them ;-). Along with a focus on what to be grateful for - as we work through the crap. These books always intrigue - but end making you feel better. Good use of a credit!!

I love the complexity and depth of development that goes into Catherine Coulter’s characters - and this story doesn’t disappoint! The pace is not rushed - nor is it slow. It just keeps you engaged all the way through. The worst part is when the story ends …..

The Best Story!

The humor, the realistic human foibles, the setting, and the happy ending! I didn’t want this one to end - and it’s been quite a while since I was so engaged in a story. Perhaps that was is part due to the perfect narration. Now looking for more by this author!! (And narrators!)

Such a great story!

The characters are so well developed and dovetail nicely with related stories - but you don’t have to read those stories before you can enjoy this one. Although not historically accurate, the dialogue is interesting and funny - and how you would picture such exchanges in your dreams. Very entertaining - takes you “away” ;-)

Enchanting story - Pure Entertainment

The dialogue, though hardly of the period, is engaging and funny and representative of things we’ve all thought. This story is a wonderful break from the challenges of a typical day - and warm listen. Definitely worth a credit.
