Story Too Long
Revisado: 10-21-24
Very interesting details but often repetitive. It was good to learn about the Jehovah Witness religion. I didn’t appreciate the profanity used by the author.

Historia
On a beautiful summer afternoon in 1998, Dan Stephens, a 22-year-old canoeist, was leading a trip deep into Ontario's Quetico Provincial Park. He stepped into a gap among cedar trees to look for the next portage - and did not return. More than four hours later, Dan awakened from a fall with a lump on his head and stumbled deeper into the woods, confused. Three years later, Jason Rasmussen, a third-year medical student who loved the forest's solitude, walked alone into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness on a crisp fall day.

Should have been better.
Revisado: 09-14-24
There is no purpose to take 2 stories that happened several years apart and jump from one to the other.
Too many unnecessary details such as peeing.
I didn’t appreciate God’s name being said in vain and other cussing.

Historia
After his December 2003 arrest, registered nurse Charlie Cullen was quickly dubbed "The Angel of Death" by the media. But Cullen was no mercy killer, nor was he a simple monster. He was a favorite son, husband, beloved father, best friend, and celebrated caregiver. Implicated in the deaths of as many as 300 patients, he was also perhaps the most prolific serial killer in American history.

Intriguing
Revisado: 03-03-23
Some of the lengthy descriptions of landscapes, wound care and Nurse Amy at her company party dragged. If reliable, the crass speech of the 2 detectives to the Good Nurse, Charles Cullen, was disgustingly unprofessional even though they were dealing with a horrible killer. It is a shameful disclosure how hospitals try to protect their reputations so I am thankful for the research done for this book.

Boring with poor narration
Revisado: 10-14-21
I am sure this could be a wonderful story but hearing Robinson talk so much about himself in the introduction and his perspective is so boring that I could not listen very long.

Historia
With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

This book is written at a level for girls in middle school. It certainly confirmed for me why I dislike novels. The narration is poor. I found interesting some of the information about France during World War 11.

Historia
The must-have companion to Bill O'Reilly's historical docudrama Legends and Lies: The Patriots, an exciting and eye-opening look at the Revolutionary War through the lives of its leaders. The American Revolution was neither inevitable nor a unanimous cause. It pitted neighbors against each other as loyalists and colonial rebels faced off for their lives and futures. These were the times that tried men's souls: No one was on stable ground, and few could be trusted.
