Historia
Book lover Addison Thornrose can match you with your next perfect read. Unfortunately, she can't match herself with a good man. Her latest just dumped her. Worse, she's learned that unless she marries, and quickly, her family will lose their witch magic—forever. Feylin, king of the fae, has no interest in romance. In fact, the only thing he's interested in is getting revenge on the Thornrose family for ruining his life. So when he learns that they're holding a Bridgerton-style ball to marry off their oldest daughter, Addison, he sees an opportunity for vengeance.

I does make you wonder
Revisado: 08-23-24
I love a book that gives you something to think about deeply and explore anew, trying to see things from another perspective. And it is written in a very compelling way as was every book by Dan Brown i've read/listened so far; fast paced mystery that really keeps you on ypur toes.
if you like mystery and phylosophy, i'd say this book is for you.

Historia
It's 1999, and Eira Hart and Ru Tattersall are set up to co-host The Lonely Harts Club, a new late-night radio show to help New Yorkers find love. It's a last chance attempt for both Eira, expert in Celtic mythology and amateur Welsh matchmaker, and Ru, once-hot-shot Aussie DJ, to achieve their New York dreams. The thing is, you either click with a co-host, or you don’t. It’s a bit like falling in love. There’s co-host chemistry, or there isn’t. With the countdown to a new millennium, it feels like the world as they know it is about to end.

Light and Romantic

I needed something light and fluffy and this was exactly that, also very well narated, the cast was amazing and though it was very romantic i felt it was still believable and honest and real. Very enjoyable listen.

Entertaining and light with outstanding naration
Revisado: 06-23-24
I love these books, they are light and funny and ful of adventure but there also deeper messages hidden in the stories that remind us to respect and be greatful for the freedom we enjoy in our modern world and to fight for those less lucky.
And David Tennant is by far the best narrator i've ever listened to. I simply can't get enough of these books.

Historia
Amber Sand is not a witch. The Sand family Wicca gene somehow leapfrogged over her. But she did get one highly specific magical talent: she can see true love. As a matchmaker, Amber's pretty far down the sorcery food chain (even birthday party magicians rank higher), but after five seconds of eye contact, she can envision anyone's soul mate. Amber works at her mother's magic shop - Windy City Magic - in downtown Chicago, and she's confident she's seen every kind of happy ending there is: except for one - her own.

After spending my entire life avoiding the creatures that murdered my parents, one stupid mistake binds me to them for four years. My penance? Become a human shadow at the infamous Evermore Academy, finishing school for the Seelie and Unseelie fae courts. All I want is to keep a low profile, but on day one, I make an enemy of the most powerful fae in the academy. The Winter Prince is arrogant, cruel, and apparently also my fae keeper. Meaning, I’m in for months of torture.

predictable but enjoyable
Revisado: 07-30-22
I kind of expected more complexity to the story but i guess this is only the beginning since it is only the first book of the series. It's also too short 😏. But overall i liked it, it gave me what it promised and the narator was really good. I loved the almost whispered parts, it suited the scenes and the characters in given moments.
In the beginning i thought this book might have more similaritis to Zodiac Academy series but now i think it's different quite a lot. To sum it up, Evermore Academy is i think also suitable for teen audiance, while Zodiac Academy in my opinion is deffenitely more suitable for mature readers.
I'll go listen to the next book now. I hope it's as good as EA Winter😁

Historia
Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

the story was interesting, light and fun. also a little bit scarry at times but i listened trough it quite quickly. the narration could've been better i think if the narrators used diferent voices for different characters more. but overall i think it's deffenitly worth a listen if you like supernatural, humor and a bit of romance.
