On the Hook
Revisado: 04-26-22
I enjoyed this book. I didn't know what I was expecting but man! The narrators did a great job. I found myself wondering how in to world can they make possible the impossible? She had really good friends, and the trigger warnings were totally warranted. Theo was a jealous/selfish/ hater. It was my intention to wait to listen until the next book came out so I have messed up now. I am excited to see how things play out. Aliyah needs to tuffen up. I hope she get some kind of power. She was a bit tough on Eric. Luicien, Rome and Miranda did wrongtin my opinion I really wanted somebody to hit Anna in the kisser, badly. This author has a new fan.

My type of Book!
Revisado: 03-19-22
On audible, I had to filter and filter for a long time before this GEM popped up. I was so thrilled when I read the summary. I grabbed me and held on til the end. Ms. Jordan has a new fan! I am going to find more by this author. This book has sweetness, lust, pie, circus, and some sadness. I would have liked to seen into their future, hopefully Callum will have a book.
I need more like this from audible.

I loved this story
Revisado: 02-10-22
This story pulled me in and held me till the end. This book has surprises you dont see coming, that I appreciated. The author comes from the flip side of the coin which is refreshing. I appreciated the background of an HBCU, the hard work. I appreciated the trip back in time, I was with Van, I didn't know how Boss Lady knew that song. This book has some scandal too, WTF kind of stuff.... This author reminds me a bit of Christina C Jones's books.

I liked the Narrator
Revisado: 01-27-22
This was good! She has to work harder on the next one to beat this one. I didn't like the narration for Carter, his voice kind of graded on my nerves so I didn't listen to those books. I am going back to try again or read em on Kindle. There wasn't too much sex but it was sexy.
I won't tell the story, I will say it pulled me in and held me till the end.👏👏

Should have had an Epilogue
Revisado: 07-30-21
I liked the story. While Dan kind of got his come- upins, It could have been better for all the ladies who was pissed about how he did what he did. Megan could have got some too, more of a realization of what her man stealing behind got for all of her shirts work, she but too late now. I wish the story had an Epilogue where the little fella Hazel mentioned came to fruition. Out of the entire story that is the one thing I would change. The narration is really good. It seems to me the stories around British pple tend to be very whitty and I love the word play.

Revisado: 05-23-21
I enjoyed the story. I am grateful for the Cherry and Madox's story cause I wanted to know about them from the first night of the bike rally.
I can't believe her parents, they came off as very ungrateful. She was true to herself and made hard, unpopular decisions. It reminds me of the importance of listening and respecting my own instincts. Everyone in the world can have something to say but at the end of the day, one has to live with that decision. The only thing that didn't quite mesh is when he would say "baby girl". He was Latin and he was strong in his culture so it seems his endearment would follow his culture.
I appreciate a couple who adopts diverse children as well as birth kids and give them all love an support.
The story was really good as well as the narration.

If you like slow books
Revisado: 04-11-21
This book was boring. I kept waiting for something that never happened. The secrets weren't scandalous enough to write a book about. I think this book is for the older person. Plus the male on the cover don't look NOTHING like the beautiful man inside the book. That is a shame in and of itself.

A Good Damned Book
Revisado: 04-11-21
First I have to say I could not stand Janet's selfish, spoiled, self centered, asshole self, with her lying, frontin behind. She came off kind of dumb to boot. It didn't take long to know why her man wouldn't go all the way. Gerald should have kept on going. Kareem deserved better.
I enjoyed the book, it was hard to put down. The nerve of Mike and the others after what they did!!!!
Some of the narration got on my nerves a bit. Over the top

A Good Read that could use some Work
Revisado: 04-07-21
The book started off well. I appreciated the lack of ghetto attitudes and that there is not an overabundance of cursing. The story started off very strong. It grabbed me and held on. I appreciated that these women were doing good things in their lives. At some point, I was like WT....
I have to say while I did enjoy the narration, she did a wonderful job until she got to the Latina woman. The narration was cheesy at best. Then if you are going to write for another culture you should use the cultural names, Angelika??? maybe Anjelica, or something more common in the Latin community. I suspect someone in that community could possibly be irritated about how their heritage was portrayed. Then on another note, I didn't care for how things went down with Anna. How is she gonna be all tore up when she was the one who put her out in the first place? You never let go of your kids cause if you do it will always come back to you in the end. So whatever one has to do to get them in line you do be it kick their ass or something else. She just declared she was going to do evil and left it at that. NO...
I was with Sam until I found out Charles did not want to divorce her. What I could not reconcile was that she knew she was out there a lot and at no point did it come to her to do research on the virus or go back into Her History??? No. This fool blew her marriage to pieces for nothing. Then later on jacked-up Ethan.
Andrea was the biggest disappointment of the book. I was with her, she prayed and asked the Lord for help and he gave it to her. At this point, I have to question if she is a black woman. The first time she spoke with Charles and BAM!! he showed his colors. After that, she continued on even though she had what she needed in her hands, and instead of using the weapon this dummy just holds on to it instead of not only using it to get out and get what she wanted most. I don't think you can then insert the Lord. When he gives you what you need to get out and you don't do it, you get what you get, a damned mess. This dummy keeps going at it after he showed her his colors like he is not gonna step it up. She kept on till she and Quentin became a scandal. Then when Jerimiah continued on no matter what this dummy still did not use her weapon or her man to stand beside her to keep her safe or be supportive. She did not take one pic of her injuries. Who does not have a backup? Who goes to court and sits on a bomb? In today's world, her dumb ass would be dead as everything. In the process she made the kids suffer and put kelly in a bad spot and Jerimiah could have had a more satisfying ending. I wonder if the author got tired during writing this story. I ended up with absolutely nothing for her. Plus she was lying to her man during the whole thing then he is listening to her and not stepping up which lessened him to me. I have to stop here.

It Surprised Me
Revisado: 03-07-21
I wasn't sure at the beginning. For a short story she filled it out well from start to finish. The narrator did a good job but her voice kind of got on my nerves. The first sex scene was on point. I appreciate the real world problem of Hollywood/celebrities in this story. This one held me from start to finish. I look forward to more of her books coming to audible.
