Historia
Ada Lamarr may have gotten to the spaceship wreck first, but looter’s rights won’t get her far when she’s got a hole in the side of her ship and her spacesuit is almost out of air. Fortunately for her, help arrives in the form of a government salvage crew—and while they rescue her from certain death, they are not pleased to have an unexpected passenger along on their classified mission. But Ada doesn’t care—all that matters to her is enjoying their fine food and sweet, sweet oxygen—until Rian White, the government agent in charge, starts to suspect that there’s more to Ada than meets the eye.

Written by a teen?
Revisado: 04-16-25
Too much sexual cheesy content. I guess some people like this. But it’s so fake and unrealistic and a waste of time. The main character also isn’t very likable, whiny, and somehow entitled sounding.

Too much gun battles, basic story, basic characters
Revisado: 01-27-25
Some slightly original unique things like the void drift concept. But this just feels like every other sci-fi space battle thing, Star Wars, Star Trek. Nothing is really happening except lots of battles. And it annoys me he says the same words a lot Like gout. Don’t think I’ll go to book 3. It’s like porn… the first couple minutes is unique…pizza guy, baby sitter, teacher, neighbor etc... then it’s just the same story after that first bit. The first bit is over and I don’t really care anymore. The voiceover is Great though!

When Robert Zubrin published his classic book The Case for Mars a quarter century ago, setting foot on the Red Planet seemed a fantasy. Today, manned exploration is certain, and as Zubrin affirms in The New World on Mars, so too is colonization.

good but biased
Revisado: 03-29-24
Very good book of the basics of how and why we can and maybe should go to mars, would be enlightening to someone who's not already knows a bit about it, and even so I learned stuff.
I haven't finished it BUT so far he is extremely favorable towards going (obviously)... almost to the point of fantasy.
He so far (halfway through) hasn't said any negatives such as the effects of radiation, bone mass, and the general insane difficulty, His main plan of inventions being the reason people go and stay is also weak.
He even says on page 1! mars has " an atmosphere thick enough to shield against solar flares" that is essentially technically true I guess but that's not an important i issue and he says that just to make people feel as if it is more hospitable then it really is.
Also his idea on a wild west type mining community from astroids is kinda wacky, robots will do it.

basic, not very exciting
Revisado: 08-29-22
Having read Taylors bobiverse seriers I was interested in his other works, sadly this was just basic and fairly boring, not sure ill read more of his stuff. Albeit there was some slightly creative techy things, But the few interesting aspects dont override the cheesy characters, His male friend nearly completely un-needed, adding nothing, save a few bad 1 liners, the Female freind didnt really add much either, at least she was good with the computer.
He says "deliverables" like 3-4 times in the story. this felt like a deliverable he had to write for his producers, not because he enjoyed it.
