Thank you Richard Stengel for sharing such a treasured time in your life. Nelson Mandela has been a role model and hearing the humanity in in voice is such a delight during these harsh days when it is a rarity. Richard does an excellent job at opening the door to his intimate moments with President Mandel. Thank You!

Price Harry’s voice is soothing. Hearing HIS story in HIS voice makes the book even more provocative and compelling. The way in which he vividly describes royal estates was especially delightful as mere commoners rarely will have the opportunity to pierce those grandeur spaces and grounds.
I was most impressed by his revelations in the Part II: Bloody and Unbowed as he recounts his military journey and combat experience. At times I felt like I was inside the cockpit or listening to him on one of the military radio channels.
His disdain for the British media is palpable and justifiable. He described instances throughout his life where his freedom as well as innocent bystanders had been thwarted by tabloid media invasions and put the lives of innocent others in danger was jaw-dropping and heartbreaking.

For those that may be interested in some aspects of how the monarchy machine works, and rebuttal to some tabloid headlines, this book may serve as an appetizer. If you are intrigued by a story of a young Prince’s growth within and emergence from a monarchy machine, you will find this book is a delicious full-course.

This is one of the best nonfictions I've read in a while. The author's thoroughness in creating authentic characters came through. At times, I winced, cried and said um-hun to myself. The realism is like none that I've experienced by a white author. This booked did something I never thought possible--forced me to understand some motivations for white supremacy. Thank you, Jodi for boldly and bravely tackling such uncomfortable subjects with such care.

Seemed like the writer had a per word contract. Although at times, very vivid, there were far too many words used to get a point across.

A fascinating story but, because of the performance, I longed for the story to end, but could only stand to have it read about an hour at a time. The male/female voice inflection was overdone. A great walk through history during the Industrial Age of the US.

Chris Matthews clearly admired and loved Tip O'Neill. This book was a great walk balk in time to the Reagan years. I think he sped through the latter part. It's also clear that the author longs for the good old days of. tough but productive politicians that put Country First. Great tribute to two great leaders!
