Paige and Rhett have known each other for years, with Rhett being Paige's older brother's best friend, they spent their youth together, and Paige had the biggest crush on Rhett for as long as she could remember. But when they have a falling out and go no contact for years, their abrupt reunion is jarring for both of them and brings up a lot of feelings about their past and the years they missed of each other's lives. Now as adults, they each have changed and grown, but they are still able to feel the pull and care that was always there.
Rhett being in trouble with his ranch and a single dad of two boys, he needs to look like a family man to convince the powers that be that he is capable of taking care of his property and family. Paige is down on her luck after pulling into town with no home, no family, and no job after an injury that took her out of work, she's got nothing to lose in playing Rhett's game. With both down on their luck, they decide to make a pact and enter into a marriage of convenience that is meant to fool the entire town and all the active players in their game so they can get ahead of the bad luck that they both have stumbled upon. But Paige quickly realizes that her feelings for Rhett never really went away and Rhett has to grapple with his quickly growing attraction for his new wife.
As they navigate the growing issues on the ranch and trying to fight their growing feelings for each other, their marriage quickly becomes the real deal. But can they get past their trauma and find a way through their pain to choose happiness and each other on the other side?
With a riveting mystery woven into the story and watching these two work through their issues through trail and error, this story is rich with plot, love and spice. This was my first book by Lex Martin and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I was enthralled by the story. I am officially a fan and am excited for the next book in this series!
Sebastian and Vanessa and some of the best in the narration business and for a good reason. This title was no exception to that, bringing these characters to life in the best way possible and delivering performances that only enhanced the story.

John Hartley and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker were wonderful on this title. Their use of accents was fun in this story and their performances were impassioned and heightened all the suspense and tension in this story.

When she meets Bowie and receives is cold shoulder, she takes it in stride but doesn't know the reason for his behavior. Bowie and Poppy spend this story navigating a strong attraction and discovering a new love, working through trust and communication issues and how to incorporate Poppy into Becca's life while they work out what their relationship is. This cute small town romance is full of new beginnings, new love, and the power of found family.
JF Harding and Samantha Brentmoor are some of my favorite narrators, and this is just another example of how great they are. Fantastic performances 👏

Cassie is a burnt out lawyer that secretly has a passion for cooking. So when she gets the opportunity of a lifetime to be an alternate in an elite cooking competition in Las Vegas, she drops everything and takes her shot. She may be an alternate, but that won't stop her from soaking up all the fun, glitz, and glam that this trip will bring to her mundane life.
Evan is a crown prince of a small Eurpoean country and second in line for the throne. With his brother set to take the throne soon and so much change happening, he is trying to find his purpose outside of royal duties, so he decides he needs a much needed break and heads to Las Vegas where his best friends runs one of the biggest hotels on the strip. The hotel that happens to be were the cooking competition is.
As a favor to his friend, Evan helps out with managing the competition and is instantly dawn to Cassie. They keep running into one another all over the hotel and at competition events that they decide to start spending time together on purpose and the spark between them is ignited. But as the competition gets underway, the financial issues of the hotel come to the forefront and when people a part of the competition start popping up dead, there is more going on than meets the eye. Solving the mystery becomes priority while still trying to keep the competition going and the closer they get to discovering the truth, the more in danger they all are, especially Cassie.
Rival Secrets is a murder mystery romance full of twists and turns that keeps you on your feet. As murder mystery is not the most common trope in romance these days, I found this story a great change of pace and I am interested to see how the next book in the series plays out.
Samantha Brentmoor and Shane East were delivered great performances here. I don't think I've ever heard them together on a title and it was fun to experience that. Samantha with a British accent was FUN! These two are some of the best in the narration game and this was no different.

Stella and Riggs have known each other their entire lives. They were best friends and led each other through the highs and lows of their childhoods. Dragged into the depths of depression for years, she is a shell of herself, and these two have to find a way through the pain if they dare to imagine a future together.
This story was beautiful, raw, real, and full of the things that make love truly last. None of us come out of this life unscathed, and learning to love someone despite their wounds and scars is the truest testament of love. Bravo Morgan Elizabeth 👏
Stephen Dexter and Emma Wilder were phenomenal on this title. Bringing to life all the raw emotions portrayed in this story and delivering on a immersive storytelling experience. Fantastic work from both!

Wren and Jack have known each other their entire lives with Jack being her older brother's best friend, so when they both attend a masquerade event, hit it off and hook up anonymously - discovering their identities mid-thrust was jarring to say the least. After that ended badly, the two go years hating each other, effecting all their family and friends but choosing to hate each other vs give into their strong feelings for one another is too much vulnerability than they care to partake in.
When Wren ends up a med student in Jack's ER, he has to be her authority figure and teacher and she can't stand the idea of having to play nice. But the more time they spend around each other the harder it is not to give into their desires. And that passionate hate transforms into passionate just and then into love. Their spicy scenes are powerful and taboo! SO. SO. 🔥🔥🔥 but maintain this heat while staying professional for the sake of their careers is harder than they expect and gets them into trouble.
I've read a lot of enemies to lovers stories but this one was the most passionate and full of fury and fire and it made it so entertaining. Another home run for J Saman.
Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton are two of the best in the business for a reason and this is a great example of it. Just like their characters, their performances were full of passion in every form, from hate to love and it was so entertaining to listen to this story!

Laney is in hiding after baring witness to something horrific and is taken to a small town in Kentucky to be placed in hiding for her safety. She is staying with the Fox family, the family behind Fox Bourbon, one of the most exclusive brands in the country. There she has to find her footing, starting a new life in a small town where everyone is curious about the new girl, but no one more so than Grant Fox.

Grant is a former police officer who retired early after a particular case left him leaving the force and finding refuge back into the family business. Not privy to the details of Laney's circumstance and sudden appearance, Grant is instantly curious as to why she's in his town and staying on his family property. Not to mention, he is unequivocally entranced by her; from her sheer beauty to her unfiltered mouth and sass, he's a goner for Laney pretty quickly.

As time passes, Laney finds peace and solace in her new life, making friends and connecting with the Fox family as she learns the ways of bourbon and what makes Grant tick. They start to steal moments together that only make the flame between them burn brighter, but Grant's curiosity gets the best of him, and his digging into her could put her in more danger than he realized.

This story was so good. Full of suspense, mystery, family, community, and when that spice hits... it HITS! Laney and Grant are fantastic together and balance each other out. They see each other in a way that is special to them. I loved this couple so much. And Julep is the literal best dog EVER! 🥹

Samantha and Connor were AMAZING in this! Umm.... I'm sorry... I was NOT prepared for Connor with a Southern twang, and it TOOK ME OUT! Samantha is an incredible talent and embodied the strength and sass of Laney so well.

SJ Tilly can do no wrong. This woman has proven she can write nearly any type of romance and any trope and brings it home every time!

Courtney comes to Black Lodge Mountain excited to start her new job, but when the owner, Sterling Black realizes he hired a woman, he is not happy - even more so because he is unequivocally attracted to her and now knows he can't have her. Determined to prove her worth, Courtney lives and works in some abysmal conditions, never complaining or making a fuss in hopes she doesn't catch the ire of Sterling again. But when he finds out just what she's been putting up with, he instantly feels horrible for his cold, distant behavior and works to try and make her feel welcome and comfortable while still trying to control this attraction to her.

Eventually that resistance is futile as they both give into this attraction and Sterling proceeds to unabashedly worship her in every way possible. All of these scenes are made that much sweeter with her being a plus size FMC. 🥰 Learning to trust each other takes time, but they work through their miscommunication and develop a trust that gets put to the test but makes them stronger in the end.

Don't even dream of not tossing this title to the front of your TBR! You won't regret it I promise! 🤩🤩🤩

Fallon is a Chicago cop that is moving her way up the ranks and about to start on the job of her dreams, working to take down the drug trade. After her past was fraught with drugs that took her parents from her, she is dedicated to doing everything she can to dismantle the drug trade in the city. The morning of her first day, she is leaving the gym when she gets stuck on an elevator with a stranger named Dylan. But when their lives are in danger and they escape the elevator and a raging fire, Dylan is in awe of Fallon and they decide to start dating. But as they get to know each other, they realize their lives are more intertwined than they ever could've imagined and in the worst ways possible. As they discover that their love affair is forbidden and goes against everything that the other has stood for their entire lives, they have to figure out how to navigate their forbidden love in the face of immanent danger. The rest of the story is jam packed with suspense, thrills and twists that kept me on the edge of my seat! It was genuinely hard for me to turn this book off because I needed to know what piece of the puzzle would be revealed next. And seeing this couple try to navigate between their heads vs their hearts just added to the stakes! This was such a fun and suspenseful read!

Sarah and Michael were great on this title. After experiencing the first book with them, I knew they had the capacity to perform but this story leant a different vibe compared to the first book and they delivered here too. It only enhanced the story in the best ways to listen to it come to life.

Unsurprisingly, this was another homerun for Giana! I think Blue and Boner might be my favorite Fallen MC couple because THEY WERE SO PERFECT TOGETHER!

First - shoutout to Blue being a thickums! I was absolutely obsessed with the way that Boner unabashedly worshipped Blue's body and gave her the confidence and safe space to explore and love herself. It made the spice for me that much spicier!

But Giana never fails to tie the individual stories into the overarching storyline of the Fallen but still making the couples' journey the focal point at the same time. I love the ties to Caution To The Wind and I loved seeing Mei being her badass self. As well as all the other Fallen MC characters making appearances and moving their stories along as well. All these books are so well balanced in their interconnecting elements to past stories but still making sure the MCs shine.

BONER IS ADORABLE! He's so head over heels for Blue and I love that he is so secure in his connection to her that he is strong enough to hold onto it for both of them while she navigates all the drama in her life and tackling the fear she has to allow herself to be happy. He showers her with love and affection the way she's always deserved and it gives her the comfort to trust in them and their love.

This is a re-read for me but my first time with the audiobook and I loved it! Gregory is one of my favorite narrators and does this type of character perfectly. I've never listened to Lee before and she was wonderful, delivering an emotional performance that brought Blue to life. So so good!

I can't wait to see what happens next. IN GIANA WE TRUST! 🩵🩵
