Historia
One weekend, while Andrew Mason was on a fishing trip, his wife, Brie, vanished without a trace. Most everyone assumed Andy had got away with murder—it’s always the husband, isn’t it?—but the police could never build a strong case against him. For a while, Andy hit rock bottom—he drank too much to numb the pain, was abandoned by all his friends save one, nearly lost his business, and became a pariah in the place he once called home.

Great story, plenty of twists
Revisado: 02-09-24
Sometimes you buy the daily special and it's barely worth what you paid and sometimes it blows you away. I loved this one. If you like a good murder that you can't figure out yourself, I think you'll love it too.

Historia
From the Stone Age to the Greek Tragedies, from Shakespeare to Robin Hood, we have always had our heroes. The hero is at the centre of formative myths in every culture and persists to this day in world-conquering books, films and TV shows. But why do these characters continue to inspire us, and why are they so central to storytelling? Scalpel-sharp on the roots of storytelling and enlightening on the history and science of myth, The Hero is essential listening for anyone trying to write or understand fiction.

Lesson for me - read the description
Revisado: 12-01-19
When "The Hero" came up as a recommendation for me, I didn't hesitate since it was written by Lee Child. Big mistake. I have no interest in the topic. The narrator was very monotone, which didn't help. I could not finish this very short book. I pulled over to switch to something else, something I almost never do.

But even she didn't see this coming: her own brother arrested for the grisly murders of three beautiful young women. Awesome Book!
Revisado: 03-18-19
This story gripped me from the beginning and was so good that I bought the next in the series immediately upon finishing. I loved the heroine and the plot. Harriet is strong, smart, and still vulnerable. She is not perfect. I had guessed the killer but wasn't 100% sure until the book revealed it. As for narration, I'm not Australian and have no Australian friends, so for me the accent was fine. All through the book I felt that I was in the heroine's head.

I Didn't See That Coming
Revisado: 08-10-18
Throughout this book, I wasn't sure who I was supposed to like. The main character did some horrible things, but so did everybody else. There were no saints in this one. I enjoyed listening, never knowing what was coming next, and the end was a complete surprise. The narration was terrific as well.

The Six Worst Stories Ever Written
Revisado: 01-12-18
Any additional comments?
This is a collection of the six worst stories I've ever heard. The people are selfish bigots. I find no humor in killing a baby by putting it in the washer and dryer. I can't imagine why the majority of the reviews are good. Just horrible.
