I'm sorry, I couldn't do it. The voice actor sounded too much like a news castor from the 1940s. It made me hate the story with a burning passion.

A Good Listen, A Good Read

I haven't run into any ARR story I haven't loved. This is my first time listening to one and it was fun. It did get weird and awkward whenever the narrator had to Kenton's voice...and that made the love scenes feel a little uncomfortable to listen to. In a goofy, not so sexy voyeurism kind of way.
All in all, ARR, this story was heart warming, fun and different. The love story was unique. And the writing was great. The performance, I liked but didn't love.

I should have bought the book instead

I have been in a reading slump as of late, and decided to see if Audible would help "light a fire." This was not the book for me. The story was interesting, the writing was well done. The performance...no. This was super bland, flat and reminded me of the audio books we'd get in the nineties during school. It had no personality whatsoever. I couldn't finish listening. I should have bought the book, and I will. It's worth finishing. I am just...I had one free credit. I am disappointed I wasted it on this audio file.
