Mending a Broken Heart
Revisado: 12-20-20
Ms. Hewitt's engaging cadence, and inflexion helped this beautiful story come to life! She has a beautiful voice and it is a true pleasure to listen to her. Throughout the story, I loved Ms. Dixon's changing up the words and events in Cannon...having the words uttered by someone other than the person in Cannon, and changing the location of events held in Cannon - while remaining true to Cannon. At the start of the story, Elizabeth is struggling to deal with her sadness after losing her beloved Jane. Elizabeth is sent to spend time with Mr. Bennet's sister, Lady Vanessa. His sister determines to introduce Elizabeth to higher society, and ultimately decides to make Elizabeth her heir. Her aunt and her aunt's friend determines that Elizabeth is to be a match with a Viscount (the son of her aunt's friend), Lord Holland. The viscount is very interested in her, while Darcy becomes more fascinated her. The viscount and Darcy begin circling around her. Due to Jane's death, Elizabeth had built up walls around her heart to protect herself from further pain and loss. Once Darcy determines to pursue her, he finds that he has to be patient, and kind in order to find a way to help Elizabeth open her heart to love again. Darcy's efforts to win her heart were so very heartwarming. This Darcy is wonderfully kind, compassionate and loving. This beautiful story will leave you feeling happy. Wonderful read!!! I highly recommend this book!!

Historia
In this amorous, provocative, and at times tumultuous "what-if" story, Mr. Darcy is a wealthy young man of sense and education, with considerable worldly experience - not at all uncommon for Regency-era gentlemen of his social standing. He is his own master. He enjoys his situation and has no particular desire to marry at all. Darcy's world is turned inside out when he renews his acquaintance with Miss Elizabeth Bennet - her own circumstances considerably diminished pursuant to the sudden and tragic death of her father.

Darcy's Dilemna - Love vs Family Expectations
Revisado: 06-05-19
I love Ms. Hewitt's ability to drawn you in when speaking Ms. Dixon'sheartwarming, engaging dialogue! This is book one of three. I absolutely love this trilogy!!! This trilogy is definitely intended for a mature audience. Darcy left Elizabeth behind when he left Netherfield and returned to London, but he cannot forget her. When he learns of her father and Lydia's death due to Wickham, he seeks her out. She desperately wants to escape her mother is ghastly in this book. She agrees to become Georgianna's companion, and they soon become fast friends. Darcy and Richard have lead a life of debauchery - playing games with the women of the Ton, had numerous trysts and Darcy had an Elizabeth doppleganger as a mistress. Elizabeth realizes that he is typical man of this times, but doesn't truly understand the full depth of his "sexcapades." When Georgie finally marries, she offers to take Lizzy with her, but she declines. Darcy is frantic to keep her in his sphere, so he buys her a house and attempts to set her up. He doesn't realize that it would appear that she is his mistress - the two have a major misunderstanding that results in them parting ways. Bingley has moved on to wed a member of the Ton. Jane marries a widower who has two little children. Darcy realizes that he can't live without Elizabeth, and proposes to her when she visits Pemberley. Richard reluctantly agrees to support Darcy, but the rest of his family are not as receptive. Ultimately Lady Matlock agrees to support their marriage. They marry and head off on their honeymoon. This ends part one of this lovely trilogy. Ms. Hewitt continues to amaze me with her ability to modulate her tone and inflection to capture the full range of emotions experienced by the characters. Her tone is very pleasant to listen to!! Books two and three in this trilogy builds upon the continuing storyline from this book. You simply MUST read this extremely original, well-written engaging trilogy!!! It is an absolute GREAT read. The three stories in this trilogy are ones that I have read and listened to over and over again!! It is a GREAT three story arc -- a MUST read!!

Darcy - Expectations vs Love
Revisado: 06-05-19
I love Ms. Hewitt's ability to drawn you in when speaking Ms. Dixon'sheartwarming, engaging dialogue! This is book two of three. I absolutely love this trilogy!!! This trilogy is definitely intended for a mature audience.Book two begins after Darcy and Lizzy return from their honeymoon. Col. Fitzwilliam/Richard is always with Darcy. Richard reluctantly supported Darcy's marriage to Elizabeth. Richard spent a great deal of time with Darcy, and this caused problems between Darcy and Lizzy. Darcy kept dismissing Lizzy's concerns regarding Richard, which caused ODC to be often at odds. Elizabeth has the "blinders" ripped off her eyes by a jealous, vindictive man. He exposes Darcy and Richard's sexual past to Lizzy - the games they played with the ladies of the Ton, his numerous trysts, and the mistress who closely resembles Lizzy, leaving her shocked and disillusioned. Darcy eventually comes clean about his past. Jane, who has been staying with them for some time, befriends Richard. Lizzy worries for Jane, since she is married. Ultimately, Jane's husband comes to collect his wife and they work through their problems. Darcy and Lizzy continue to have issues with family members and others trying to break ODC apart - Lady C, Lady Harriet, Lady Matlock, etc... Richard intervenes with Lady Harriette and tells her that he will win her. Georgie is married to Lady Harriet's brother, but her parents don't want Richard for a son-in-law (they know of and disapprove of his and Darcy's checkered pasts). Lizzy gives birth to the heir of Pemberley, but Darcy is extremely jealous of the time and attention she gives his son. Once he holds his son for the first time, he falls instantly in love. He now understands why she is so devoted to him. This lovely story ends with the three of them huddled together. This ends part two of this lovely trilogy. Ms. Hewitt continues to amaze me with her ability to modulate her tone and inflection to capture the full range of emotions experienced by the characters. Her tone is very pleasant to listen to!! Book three in this trilogy builds upon the continuing storyline from this book. You simply MUST read this extremely original, well-written engaging trilogy!!! It is an absolute GREAT read. When Colonel Richard Fitzwilliam set his cap at young Lady Harriette Middleton, his sole intention was securing her dowry. As a mere second son, his habits of taste demanded he marry a woman of substantial means. Having entered her bedchamber under the cover of darkness, he set upon his course. He promised to court her, to win her heart, to marry her.

Colonel Fitzwilliam Meets His Soul Mate
Revisado: 06-05-19
I love Ms. Hewitt's ability to drawn you in when speaking Ms. Dixon's heartwarming, engaging dialogue! This is book three of an absolutely lovely trilogy. In this book, Col. Fitzwilliam finally wins the love of Lady Harriette. In book two, she had wanted Darcy...but Darcy and Col. Fitzwilliam are determined to keep her from harming his relationship with Elizabeth. Ultimately, Col. Fitzwilliam proves that he is her perfect match, and they achieve their HEA. She and Elizabeth discover a secret from Darcy's past - his former mistress, and she has an explosive secret that comes to light. Meddlesome relatives and others try to shake Harriette and Elizabeth's faith in Richard and Darcy. The two couples are able to overcome a great many odds and lively happily thereafter. Ms. Hewitt continues to amaze me with her ability to modulate her tone and inflection to capture the full range of emotions experienced by the characters. Her tone is very pleasant to listen to!! Each book in this trilogy builds upon the continuing storyline. You have to read this extremely original, well-written engaging trilogy!!! It is an absolute GREAT read. Naive Elizabeth Meets a Determined Younger Darcy
Revisado: 06-05-19
I love Ms. Hewitt's ability to drawn you in when speaking Ms. Dixon's heartwarming, engaging dialogue! Elizabeth was forced to marry due to a compromise. Her husband treated her horribly. She became a widow after being married for a short time. Her in-laws were determined to give her a season in town. The blurb written about the book, accurately captures the essence of the story, "The beautiful widow captivates a younger Mr. Darcy. He knows her better than she knows herself. He struggles to break through her protective barriers, the most daunting being her tightly held conviction that she will never marry again and that is where she meets a younger Darcy." In her naivete, she is nearly ruined by a scoundrel. Darcy is her knight-in-shining armor...protecting her from herself and cads. Once he finally overcomes her reluctance to remarry, they finally achieve their HEA. Darcy's discovery on their wedding night was an extremely pleasant surprise!! You will have to read this extremely original, well-written engaging story to find out what the surprise is!!! This is one story that I have read and listened to over and over again!! It is a GREAT story!!

Finding Their Way Back to Each Other
Revisado: 06-04-19
I love Ms. Hewitt's ability to drawn you in when speaking Ms. Dixon's heartwarming, engaging dialogue! I strongly recommend that you listen to book one before listening to book two...otherwise you may not understand how ODC arrived at where they are. To briefly recap book one: Darcy and Lady Elizabeth grew up together. Their friendship turned to love. On a trip with Bingley to Netherfield in Hertfordshire, he learned of a great misfortune to the Bennet family - their second daughter, Elizabeth, had disappeared many years ago. Darcy was intrigued by the tale and began looking into the matter. What he learns forever changes Lady Elizabeth, her family, the Bennet's and his life forever. Shocking secrets are revealed. Darcy's relationship with Lady Elizabeth is severely tested. The book ends with a cliffhanger...and we are left to wonder if ODC will achieve their HEA. In book two: Darcy has pledged to wait forever for Elizabeth to return to Derbyshire/to him. Elizabeth struggles to integrate back into her family. After a protracted separation, Darcy returns to his beloved. Many misunderstandings and lies told by a family member try to drive ODC apart. ODC ultimately achieves their HEA. Ms. Hewitt is able to capture the nuances of the dialogue perfectly, as well as create suspense when lies are exposed. This lovely two book story is extremely well-written and heartwarming!! I love this story!!!

Love At First Sight
Revisado: 06-04-19
I love Ms. Hewitt's ability to drawn you in when speaking Ms. Dixon's heartwarming, engaging dialogue! Mr. Bennet and Mr. Darcy are longtime friends who agree to unite their firstborn children to one another. Darcy was not going to be forced into a marriage that was not of his own choosing. Jane was prepared to do her duty and wed Darcy. What Darcy, Jane, Mr. Bennet and Mr. Darcy did not count on was Darcy being thunderstruck by Elizabeth the minute she stepped out of the coach. For Darcy, it was love at first sight. Lizzy was attracted to Darcy, but loyal to her sister. ODC's road to their HEA had many twists and turns. Ms. Hewitt's lively tone, and inflection kept the extremely well-written dialogue moving along. The usual cast of characters attempted to derail ODC from their HEA...but ultimately love prevailed. GREAT story!! I love this wonderful tale!!!

"Stop!" Darcy called dashing ahead of Lizzie to catch their toddlers, but it was too late. Before he could reach the boys, little Annie had followed them under the ground. Three children and one rather handsome husband all suddenly vanished. Lizzie did the only thing she could think of and threw herself into a full-body slide down the dark, mossy rabbit hole. This is the ninth book in the popular Mister Darcy series of comedic mysteries.
