Historia
As one of the few witches in Britain, Mika Moon knows she has to hide her magic, keep her head down, and stay away from other witches so their powers don’t mingle and draw attention. And as an orphan who lost her parents at a young age and was raised by strangers, she’s used to being alone and she follows the rules...with one exception: an online account, where she posts videos "pretending" to be a witch. She thinks no one will take it seriously.

Quiet but capturing...
Revisado: 03-29-24
Not an adrenaline kick or full of passionate love affair moments, but instead packed with a journey of self, honor and most of all, the concept of filling your cup by serving others. Love this story! My only thought is that her love interest seems a little unworthy of her in the end... but maybe he will step up a little more in the second book.

Great 1st Episode!
Revisado: 04-21-23
I am a novice gardener looking for any advice and education I can get and Elise’s first podcast was very helpful! I just planted my Dalia tubers! Knowing to put things in the ground in the PNW has been a challenge after living in California for 45 years!

Powerful…

As an aging ICU nurse this just feels familiar on so many levels. My husband is 9 years older, my oldest child is approaching 40, and I’ve started to have moments when I feel how transient life can seem. Beautiful beautiful read by Vanessa… thank you!

Historia
In her small early-19th-century Welsh town, there is no one quite like Morgana. She is small and quick and pretty enough to attract a suitor, but there are things that set her apart from other girls. Though her mind is sharp she has not spoken since she was a young girl. Her silence is a mystery, as well as her magic - the household objects that seem to move at her command, the bad luck that visits those who do her ill. Concerned for her safety, her mother is anxious to see Morgana married....

Character flaws…
Revisado: 12-28-22
I wanted to enjoy this story and liked the narrator, but the main character… well, just bless her heart. She was sweet, but absolutely useless and very self centered. It made things ridiculously annoying and disappointing several times as the story unfolds.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Refreshing and so good!
Revisado: 10-15-22
Written by a master! I loved the storyline and how so many fairy tales made an appearance in some veiled way. It was not for children, it is for the child that resides in all adult hearts.

I so enjoyed this story. I love Juliet’s writing and this is a lovely new story line! Narrators were enjoyable to listen to. Vocal pitches were never squeaky or whiny, making it easy to get into the story.

Historia
With indifferent parents, Iona Sheehan grew up craving devotion and acceptance. From her maternal grandmother, she learned where to find both: a land of lush forests, dazzling lakes, and centuries-old legends. Ireland. County Mayo, to be exact. Where her ancestors’ blood and magic have flowed through generations - and where her destiny awaits. Iona arrives in Ireland with nothing but her Nan’s directions, an unfailingly optimistic attitude, and an innate talent with horses.

Corny
Revisado: 05-18-21
I feel terrible saying this, but this book just comes off as corny the way it is read. The intensity stays a at a 5/10, often shooting up to a 10/10. She’s shouts almost the whole time. When not shouting she switches to an old lady voice for 30 year old people. I’m about half way and I keep finding myself wanting to desperately tell the narrator to relax so that I can focus on the story! :\
